FWIW I have the ZF60S in my SIM2MAX driver and love it. My other gamer is a PXG Proto+ with Ventus Velocore Red6S and honestly I cannot feel a difference between the two.  Both ultra smooth with a lot of stability, as I am a tweeter between X and S flex with driver.  If you like ultra smooth with a nice feel of "load" but require a stable feeling tip, the ZF will not disappoint.  I definitely find it smoother and as, if not more stable than a tipped Tensei AV Raw 65S and more a little more stable/consistent than BF6S.

Lastly, ZF is a really conservatively pretty shaft visually....love the ion finish and "rainbow" script touches.

The ZF is a very attractive shaft visually and performance exceeds all expectations. Really feels like you can launch it closer to a blueboard with spin like a whiteboard. I find the shaft to be responsive but not whippy, stability is the name of the game here.

I have played many many shafts over the years and the ZF is my favorite. The Ventus Red is currently getting a tryout (black and blue didn’t beat out the ZF) and the ADIZ is the backup.

Second round with the IZ and loving it. What does the ZF do better than the IZ? Thanks.

Less linear feeling, lower launch, lower spin, much better looking ha.

I really like the IZ, used it for 3 years. It beat both Ventus, other AD’s etc

Thank man. Good to know it’s lower launch…. Not for me. Sure is a pretty shaft though.

I wouldn’t count it out just yet. While probably lower launch than the IZ, it’s not really a low launch shaft from what I can tell. In terms of feel, it kind of reminds me of a ventus red. But with a smoother feel.

Just got my ZF 80TX in on Saturday and had a chance to take it out to the course.  It's nice off the deck.  Very mid launch and low spin.  I would compare it to the Ventus Blue.  Lately I've been hitting down on it with 3 metal so the ZF was spinning a bit much off the tee.  Need to work on a more neutral AoA off the tee and this should work out.  Feel is superb.  I thought the Ventus Blue was smooth, but the ZF feels even better.  I can tell it's stiff in the handle and tip but very soft in the mid as advertised.  Surprising because I'm not one to get along with non-linear shafts.

I noticed you play a TB also. Can you compare ZF vs TB?

TB launches quite a bit higher and spins slightly more than the ZF.  If you want a more penetrating flight, then go with the ZF.

I just tested between the TPB, TB, and ZF. TB was the first one out of the 3. Much higher launch and softer handle/feel. I was not getting 'high launch/low spin' as some reviews are saying. I was high/high with it.

The TPB and ZF are very similar but the ZF is completely removing the left side of the course which is nice.

Interesting you did not like the Diamana TB. I tested a ton of "upgrade" shafts in TSi3 and this was my fave along with Ventus Black. I felt the TB was mid/mid, and super smooth. It was a great fit for me.

ZF feels much more stable than the TB for me.  I really like it.  As I stated before the launch is what I like.  It launches about 2 to 3 degrees lower I'd say, and flattens out which is what I look for in my 3 metal.  None of this balloon s*** that gets knocked around in the wind.  I don't quite know that it's anti-left.  I can hook the s*** out of any club.

hi anyone have any feedbacks for fairway on ZF vs Tour AD IZ and Ventus Red?

Thanks.

ZF launches lower than any of those shafts you mentioned.  I'd say the Ventus Red and IZ spin more as well.  A good comparison to the ZF would the Ventus Blue.

I have the ZF in a Max LS which is prob one of the most neutral to fade biased heads I've had in years. I also have the weight in the toe position with about 5-6g added down at the rear bottom of the head. ZF is the perfect match for this head IMO, TPB close second.

Good to hear.  I got some course time today with the ZF again.  Hit a rocket on a 260 yard par 4 with head wind.  Ended  up just past the bunker on the right about pin high.  Also had a chance to hit it off the deck on the 18th into a red flag.  Caught it square and it hit the green and rolled to the back.  Again head wind.  There's no way the TB would've stayed low enough to cut through the wind with both shots.  This one's a keeper.

Flight and spin wise, they are neck and neck IMO.  They both are mid launch, then flatten out.  EI profile is different though.  TP is linear(stiff tip, firm mid and butt).  ZF is non-linear(stiff tip and butt, but very soft mid).  TP feels little firmer.  Both shafts are very stable.

Cantlay wins the Fedex Cup with the ZF in both driver and 3 metal.  I have on in my 3 metal and am seriously considering putting one in my driver it's that good.  Only issue is that the ZF might launch too high for me.  Dispersion and ball speed is excellent with with the OG SIM 15* and I love the way it feels as well.  Very stable with a hint of kick.  Very underrated.  The 1k is giving me crazy ball speeds but falling outta the sky as a result of not enough spin at times.  My other option is the newly released diamana PD.  Looks like JT has the ZF in driver as well.  Wxer's I am torn on which to put in the bag, lol.  Unfortunately, I do not have the option to test either shaft at this time.  @third-times-a-charm, do you have any more input on the ZF?  I know you were saying that you have on in your driver?

I love the ZF, in fact I'm looking for another one. My first ZF I picked up was tipped .5" and I like my driver shafts straight in so I'm looking for one untipped.

I was cycling between the AD TP, Tensei CK Pro Blue and the ZF for a few months. I eliminated the TP but still cycle the ZF and TCK PB - but sold the .5" tipped ZF looking for the untipped. Right now I'm in the TCK PB waiting for the ZF.

The ZF is very stable, has the signature blueboard feel and kick but not too much kick like an AD DI, and has great dispersion. Had one of my best driving days with the ZF hitting like 12 of 18 fairways with driver. Also keeps me from going too far left when I go at it.

The TCK PB is a great alternative to the ZF but a touch softer overall with a touch more spin. I get approx 10yds further distance with the TCK PB but the dispersion and repeatability of the ZF is awesome.

I would classify them both as mid launch low spin shafts and depending on your strike location and AOA either one could work for someone.

Why did the TP get the boot?  Yeah, the DI had way too much kick for me and dispersion was horrible.  I need a shaft that's very tip stiff for driver.  Years of testing and trial and error have shown me the light.  That's why I hesitate to go with anything that's softer in the tip.  I know the ZF is very tip stiff and plays in between the classic blueboard and white board profiles which is why it seems to work for me.  This leads me to believe that it could work great in driver.  The PD has my attention as well since it's supposed to be the new DF.  I talked to @JustinDand he says the DF is very similar to the Ventus Black in terms of launch and spin which has me interested as well.  As I have said before if I can find a shaft that gives me the launch and spin of the Ventus Black and the ball speeds of the 1k that would be it for me.  Whichever shaft I go with would be tipped an inch.

The TP was lifeless with my swing. Couldn't time it and was pushing a lot of shots right.

I'm not a DF fan so not sure I'll move into the PD. I'm loving the mid/low combos like the ZF and TCK PB though.

Brought my tipped ZF 60S back out with my ole OG SIM head for some range time alternating with my gamer Accra tipped Accra TZ6 M4 Cobra SZX head and I forgot how smooth she is. Definitely stable enough to after it but for sure is more tempo responsive than the Accra which likes more thrown at it to get max gains. I am probably going to put the ZF SIM in play tomorrow for a round re-test.

Just received my ZF. Wow what an amazing looking shaft. Can’t wait to get it glued up for my PXG Gen4 driver. Wow it is sure pretty.

ZF has firmly earned her spot in the bag with her SIM Max OG tour issue head. She has beat out the Ventus Velocore Red and the Accra TZ6 respectively and feeling solid that it’s the beautiful ZF with a Gen prior head to resist any new temptations lol 😂

I love how smooth but “in control” the ZF feels and performs! My keeper
