This is what I use. Cut a piece off, throw on bottom of putter and trim excess and you are golden!

That was $3k last week and you can count on another one being released tomorrow.

saw that. all i can say is good luck. he hasn't had any luck selling it either.

I may be against the grain but i prefer the naked bumpers on the OTR as opposed to the CT.

Yup

The empty bumpers are WAAAAAAY better than the tour version

only reason I like some of the tour versions is for the lack of alignment aids on some of the newports

LOL Newports were made to be naked

Maybe we’re finally through to the other side of the stamping craze? Plastering Tour Only all over a putter strikes me as really tacky but to each their own I guess.

I don't own a tour putter but never liked the stamping all over either. simple stamps on the cavity, face and sole would be my option. stamping on the neck & bumpers turns me off on them. i'm a plain vanilla ice cream type of guy.

I do not know what the stock headweight is. I play 33” and it came as 33” with 20g weights. I’ve been playing with 25g tungsten weights in my buttonback and plan on getting some for this.

I did notice that the sight line on the flange goes into the actual cavity on the back and I think it looks incredibly cheap. Im glad I threw a new grip on as my shop also noticed that the grip came from Titleist wayyy out of square. He even commented that it was one of the most out of square grips he had ever seen come from a manufacturer. Not something you’d expect on a putter at that cost.

Just from a few rolls in the shop, I can say that the milling, as light as it is, makes it definitely softer than my buttonback.

It is LITERALLY the exact same putter but with different stamping and accessories. Exact same feel and metal materials being used. Cracks me up.

I've always felt like quality standards must be met on high prices items, regardless of whatever the product is, so that's disappointing but it is only a grip and one that you replaced anyways.

Yeah, the milling is something I think he felt like the current market wants since so many people thing softer is better for some reason. Either way, it's a beautiful putter.

I’d rather have the sight line into the cavity than short of it. I can’t remember the putter manufacturer (maybe machine putters) but they had sight lines that left a gap between the cavity and the line. It was extremely distracting.

Hopefully I made the right decision. I got the call on Saturday that my T22 Fastback was in store and if I still wanted it. I asked if I could come have a look at it and he said that he was unable to take it out of the packaging because of collectors (which is totally fair). I ended up turning it down - this was something I wanted to game and didn't want to take the $600 gamble if I totally didn't agree with it.

Makes sense.

I will say that with all the hype around these it’d be a pretty safe bet that you’d do fine taking it and selling it if it didn’t strike your fancy. It’s pretty likely you’d even end up ahead even after trying it out if I had to guess.

We’re definitely going to need more comparison pics.

Yes some more comparison pictures would be much appreciated. Top line address view, side, cavity, face etc. - thanks. I never really cared for the high toe on the button back so I'm looking forward to getting the T22 tomorrow.

I got mine yesterday....34" Newport 2 from Club Champion. Looks great to me. Only rolled a few on the carpet side by side with my old Studio Style Newport 2 and the T22 did feel slightly softer but nothing crazy. I didn't compare it to my other Scotty (~2015 era NP2 Notchback). Overall, it feels slightly heavier than my Studio Style and the blade length was just slightly longer, similar to the comparison picture posted above. My grip was nice and square, too (that was the first thing I checked). Can't wait to put it in play!
