Ya lobbing insults from the sideline never made sense to me. This is a great community, full of people inflicted with the same sickness of buying and selling, non-stop. To sit there and call someone a scum bag and a vulture for trying to make a quick $100 here and there is quite ridiculous.

 

Like most people in the BST, I work my tail off 50-60 hours a week. My wife stays home with our kids, if I see an opportunity to make a quick $100 to help at home, or to help my golf habit so I don’t touch the home budget I’m going to do it.

 

Call me what you want. If there is a demand it will sell, if there isn’t, it won’t. It’s a self correcting problem.

Amen brother. PingMan was very nice to deal (not scum at all) with in buying a driver at a reasonable price. These putters are limited and some of us were quicker to the punch then some. Not our problem they are bringing $800-$1000 online. I had more orders in but some of mine got cancelled or I would have bought as many as I could at $600. Next time pay attention to special releases and get one!

So I run to Golf Galaxy on my lunch break, they have 1 34" newport 2 left, just what I wanted... I planned on using a $500 giftcard my boss gave me as a 7 yr anniversary gift a couple weeks ago. I just took it out of the package 2 days ago, said it was activated and ready to go. Card is declined, tried it 3 times. Called the number on the back said it was expired with $0 balance. I left it on the counter. I'll take it as a sign from God (your wife would have killed you) I was supposed to have this. LOL.

The Golf Mart by my Father’s house received two 33” T22s today (one NP2, one Fastback). I bought them both (one for me, one for my wife). Since I definitely was not in the early pre-order group, I am soo happy that it worked out! I had left a note asking to be called if they had any available, and they called me today a couple of hours before I left to go catch my flight home. I haven’t done the equipment thing in a while, but this is probably the first time that it actually worked out for me. It sounds like various places have some stock, you just have to call around to see if they have the one that you want. My BIL told me that the Olympic Golf Store in LA had five putters, but the only one unclaimed was a 34” NP2, which wasn’t what he wanted.

Received my Newport this week; first Scotty. Rolls beautifully; but I have to say the worksmanship / QC is not great. The shaft sticker is not even close to straight. It’s just an embarrassing mistake for Titleist. I don’t really care; but they should be able to do better for a $600 limited release product.

Not sure that these are going to be that collectible if that's why you're doing it. I don't even know that the 33s in general will hold a premium, as these are all adjustable putters. I know less of the 33's were produced, but I still don't think that will do much for "value"

As for yours, the fastbacks seem to be the last ones to sell out. But can't hurt to leave it all original.

when you can find circle t for 1200-1400 I find it laughable to pay anything over at cost for the t22.

 

Got no issues with those making a quick buck. Just don’t see value in it.

You have a point only if the T10 Circle T traded at 1200-1400. You’re comparing apples to oranges right now.

 

A more relatable comparison is the Buttonback and the T22 is a less expensive alternative so there is value to be had.

I’ve seen hand stamped Newport circle t dropping for that price range. Regardless if it’s some tei3 or t10 or t1000 bullion. A circle t is a circle t to me. I see no value on mass produced Scotty.

 

The point is the same folks who bicker about the cost of t22 grey market will most likely not fork out 1200-1400 for a circle t. If value is what they consider maybe look towards something better bcuz currently these are not there yet or will ever be.
