I'm actually surprised more didn't mark it up

For other limited releases, it seems like stores had no problems marking them up from MSRP

A re release of the TeI3 line I figured would be a prime target for this mark up

I find it neither annoying or ugly. Really like this putter, and rotating with a NP2 timeless. I think I will make the switch full time.

For those of you complaining about the sightline would you prefer it to stop short like this machine putter? I’d much rather have it finish in the cavity as that is way less distracting at address IMO.

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Both are mistakes. There isn’t a single Cameron sight line that is milled all of the way into the cavity to the point where assembly had to paintfill it to hide the flaw.

My NP2 35" arrived Wednesday. Picked it up brought it home. Inspected it and noted the grip was on wrong/crooked. Sat it in the garage while I played the next day. When I got home inspected it again and compared it to my sole stamp Scotty's. Not even close in craftsmanship. Returned Friday morning! End of story.

It’s copper, it is supposed to oxidize.

Yikes

Not sure you're gonna be happy with this putter then

that "oxidized" look is exactly what a lot of people like as these babies "age"

you can shine them up easy peasy if you like, but they will change over time

and yes, these inserts "scratch" if you hit a sandy ball, so again, maybe this putter isn't one you're gonna wanna keep

I think they're great

I mean that the putter came that way. Behind the sticker on the putter were three blackish spots on the putter face. Not sure oxidize is the correct word for what happened to this putter.

I take it you’ve never owned an original? I bet 99/100 rusted after their maiden voyage because most people didn’t know what to expect with that type of finish and elements used to make it.

As for your issues, yeah that sucks to have spotting like that. A little bit of polish would’ve cleaned it up to a uniform finish.

I did not have an original but I expected that when I received a new putter it would look like a new putter. Over time I can understand that time will have an effect on the putter face but this is what it looked like under the sticker on the face.

But I guess I know what to expect out of the putter over time. Thanks for the advice.

I don’t think it should come looking like that. Seems like some legitimate QC issues with this release. I do however love the concept of releasing these classic putters this same way. Same way Nike does with Jordan’s. Last year was the year of the Jordan 3 and it was awesome. Titleist needs to master the process much like Nike. This putter release was a mess. Also, they should never mass produce any of these releases. They are sitting on a goldmine if they do it correctly.

Gotcha

that is weird.

you're right it's hard to tell if that's just the patina of the insert that is causing those splotches or something else

I hope they take care of it for you.

I am not disagreeing with the .355 size, but I replaced a shaft in an experimental (whatever it was called) long neck putter and that one took a .370 shaft (I even went back into my amazon purchases to verify that it was .370).

It seems/appears that Cameron has different size shafts at different times/ages?

Can’t speak for when they went to .355, but the T22 NP and NP2 are 100% .355. I pulled my 34” and replaced it to play 35”. So can say with certainty.

Every plumbers neck Cameron I have owned has taken a .355 shaft, and I've had longnecks, experimentals, lots of them. Generally the only putters Cameron has made that require .370 shafts have been the heavier weighted heads, ones that were originally made to be long or belly putters like the Mid Sur putters. Additionally for a short period of time the Custom Shop allowed conversion to belly length putters and bored out the hosels to better accommodate 370 shafts so they twist less at longer lengths.

I had both but sold the FB. I didn't take a picture but I did compare them side by side and it was almost identical

Agreed. My wife has the FB and I the NP2. Toe hang on the two is identical.
