Scotty Cameron 2019 Teryllium T22 (NO BUY SELL TRADE POSTS)

ZBUCK

Recommended Posts

Cameron is the master at marketing. He will not shoot himself in the foot by continuing to produce more of these making them less limited. Even in the early days he limited supply to increase demand. When he first came on the scene retailers laughed at him trying to charge a premium price for a putter and now look at the premium market 20 years later. 3000 for a “tour” version of this putter with a few different engravings, not stamps that take added effort, engravings that come from a machine.

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
- Lord Tennyson

Either we have different definitions of "limited," or I'm taking crazy pills.

Just received my paypal invoice as well for my 34" Newport. Definitely surprised it worked out. Jmck may be right on the money and there may be a flood of these coming in the near future. I just don't see how they could price these at $599 if there truly was a full release on the way. Then again, golf club pricing is skyrocketing these days. I don't really care either way as I'm just happy to be receiving my Newport. I'm not buying to flip anyway.

If you are coming to this website with any regularity, you are taking crazy pills. haha. No, our ideas of limited are the same. I think there may be some clarification as to what limited means specific to this release though. There is limited, meaning "special". To me that means here for a time not huge numbers but not specifically a limited or sequential number attributed. Think Mcdonalds McRib. Here for a bit at different times then gone. Then there is "true" limited, meaning 1 of 500 or something like that.

I think this falls under the catagory of special. It is a throwback club with a single release and then it will be gone. But, almost everyone that may want one can probably get one.

lol, truer words never spoken.

Edit: and I agree with you on the rest of it too, though that email from a retailer about "no worries, we can get as many as we want 30 days from now" stinks of Titleist queuing up another production run. ....Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I plan on getting mine to play, but I think worse case I will be able to get most if not all my money back. I think that is fairly safe.

I made one order thru my club and two orders thru a regional retailer. Im sort of worried about backorders myself.

They never said how many they would produce, the retailers were taking money from people with no guarantees from Titleist on fufillment, and they must not have actually produced enough to fufill all the orders taken.

Some people will be getting burned on the release date...guaranteed.

Me three! Always wanted a teryllium since I was 12 years old (1997) but at that age had no clue about looking after carbon steel heads. I’m going to game this and if it doesn’t stick hopefully I can flip it for most of my money back.

If I had to guess, I bet they made less Fastback’s than NP and NP2’s.

I just wanted a FB1.5 without paying an arm and a leg for a Circle T or the global limited release. The fact that it's a Tei3 is just a bonus.

About 1 every 2 or 3 days on the BST forum. haha. Maybe an over exaggeration but there are plenty of them still available. People just treat those like SC golf bags and just hold on to them until somebody overpays for them.

I do think these T22's will hold their value pretty well though. Much better than a lot of the recent limited releases.

I have quite a few putters and am always aware that the SC buzz could be a bubble about to burst. That being said, I don't own them for their value or investment.

Those Puetz golf ones (9 total) look to be long gone. Well if you google how many golfers there are in the world I get 60 million. 8000 putters for 60 million individuals means .01 will have a T22. I wouldn't be too worried about it holding its value. Besides if you are investing in golf clubs you should try a better investment. On a more interesting note - WWGS said they are getting the unicorn 33" Newport version now although it is sold out.

Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;

I don't own any for investment. The only ones I've ever made a profit on were ones that were bought cheaply to begin with. The nice thing about this release is that it's genuinely different to the OEM line. For nearly ten years it seems the Limiteds and My Girls have just been slightly tweaked OTR putters, so many GoLo shapes too. I think that's why I like the Buttonbacks, the Napa and old My Girls. The Squareback thing with multiple dots was cool, well the head cover was. Probably should've hung onto that one as I liked it.

It's so interesting to me that the 33 Newport is so sought after. It's an adjustable weight putter, so you can "get" one by cutting down a 35 or 34 Newport. With the other highly sought after 33 putters like the mil specs, or carbon Newports, those were solid putters without adjustable weights, so I can more understand the craze around them.

Perhaps it's easier/cheaper to extend than it is to buy new weights? Or perhaps people just prefer a shorter putter now?
