I doubt it goes for more than $100. I can’t see anyone who doesn’t have the putter looking to grab one and anyone losing it won’t pay 1/3 of the putter cost for the headcover

speaking of awesome headcovers. I have developed a serious problem collecting these, and ball marks. I follow and buy special limited release headcovers all the time. It is a bigger problem then buying clubs.

AHHH, so we have an admitted cover addict. You should have a name, like sneakerheads, but for putter covers.

I was going to say, the chances of cover collectors wanting to buy these headcovers will far out way owners of the T22's who lose their headcovers while playing.

You have great style in putter spec preferences. Like my twin.

I would think you should easily be able to find a putter specialist who would install a long neck on yours. It'll cost a lot, but would be straight gold. Matching the paint would be hard, might just got off color as a 2 tone color theme or something.

Can you help shed some light as to why?

Second question, if the headcover market plummeted (like baseball cards or bean babies), would you regret buying all these headcovers or still love them just as much as ever knowing you weren't going to get but pennies on the dollar for what you paid if you ever sold them?

I am kidding a bit, it is not that big of an issue. I have like 7 of them, I passed on the releases today because they were just a bit too expensive. They sold out in 30 seconds though. It is just fun, and some of them are pretty creative. I don't really worry about resale value. I do have a couple on ebay, but honestly resale on these even when they only make 30 or so of them is not good. There are just too many out there. Tyson lamb, mannkrafted, The scotty, bettinardi releases, etc, etc, etc. They all sell out in seconds but trying to mark them up is pointless. Everyone is making something for every major or holiday. I don't get them for that.

 

People have them on ebay for 2-3 times original price but they do not ever move.

oh 7 isn't bad at all! Heck I have more than that (not collector pieces though). What are you willing to pay for a new headcover? I've came across several I really liked (to use) but I just can't get myself to pay anything close to what they cost, even retail (pre-flippper costs).

Price is all depends on how bad I want it, and that number I would expect to go up. Today they wanted over $100 bucks and I didn't think it was "special" enough for that.

Contacted my local club yesterday who has a Titleist account and received a call from them today that they can get me a 34” Newport 2 by September 15th so without hesitation I told them to put in the order. That being said, I was hoping for the Newport so if anyone who received a Newport but was hoping for the Newport 2 and is interested in a trade lmk. I know it is a bit silly floor me to post it this early but I’m sure there are some out there in a similar boat

Nah it was time, plus the guy who bought it seemed excited to get it. I received an email today that my t22 NP and NP2 will arrived this week. I’ll figure out which one suits my eye the best and have the loft and lie bent to my specs then ditch the other. Plus my new driver and 3w arrive this week so it will be a good week. Got new irons this year also so new clubs until 2021 for me.

I don't think its gonna get stolen. I play at a nice club outside DC and am one of the top 2-3 players. My problem is that very weekend at our scratch game or at association events I have guys going through my bag like clock work. Someone will see I have a different three wood in the bag and and then an announcement will go out to the other morons. I hate people getting in my personal space when I am practicing or playing in a money game. Its happened for years at this club and I still hate it. I'm leaving this coming March and headed to a club with way better golfers. It won't be an issue there because they are there to play, get ready for summer competitions and hopefully improve. So, like I said, after years, my bag is super plain to avoid attention. I carry a plain/solid blue Ogio bag w/ non descript Sunfish head covers. The non-Scotty cover will blend right in. Thats what I meant by wandering eyes. Last but not least, these head covers will sell for $200 range without a doubt. Watch eBay in a few weeks and then send an apology IM lol.

Yes Carl’s is a little aggravating right now. No word besides the initial confirmation on my NP2. Meanwhile DD’s shipped my NP Monday and it will be here on the 12th.
