Yep. Tried the antiperspirant followed up with talc. Talking 95+ degree and major humidity for a week long tournament. The humidity was the problem versus the heat. That worked. Then applied a dry tack to keep the hands tacky, almost like preparing for a rain day.

I've been using Dry Hands this season to good effect. Put some on before you start to sweat for best results.

I've also been using this stuff called iTAC2, a "pole fitness grip" product - put it on your grips before a round and it helps for awhile. Completely useless if you've already started to sweat though.

I do exactly this with a chilly pad towel and it works like a charm. I don't play a glove either and my hands are always good on each shot. I agree that I think it keeps the oil and grease off your hands which helps you maintain grip.

When I played traditional rubber grips I used a product call no sweat. Spray it on wait 10 minutes and dry as a bone even in Florida in August. Now I play leather grips and they are the best custom fitting option ever. They are tacky and last several seasons. They have paid for themselves many times over because I no longer need a glove (bought 8-10 gloves a year easy playing year round in Florida with over 100 rounds a year), and no longer need to regrip clubs every year (wedges and driver sometimes 2-3 times a year). If you play year round in a hot/humid climate and are disciplined with regripping every year and using fresh supple gloves when you play do the math on what that costs you every year....leather grips will come out way ahead especially when they last 3 years or more.

I also play with no glove...and have had issues in the past. Basically combo of things folks have said here...esp cool towel to wipe both hands & grips. I've never tried any spray or powder. Currently in a terrible hot & humid environment (Indonesia) and relatively few problems.

Also, I swear by my Winn Dri-tacs...just keep the grips fresh and clean and all will be good.
