On the follow through it forces me to push the club away and get some extension, normally my left arm is stuck to my body. 30 reps a day over the winter will help enormously. I haven't hit a ball yet, and for what I want it for I may not even need to. If you buy or make your own I don't think you will be disappointed.

Hmmm....but I don’t think about wrist cock at all with my PM.

Great find!

Three things l like about these videos:

1) First time I get the whole “relax the band’ move on backswing and the shallowing of the club when he says “just soften the wrists”. That was an aha moment for me in that I was never quite sure whether it was a move that required moving the arms, or laying down the shaft, or squatting down or something else. People just saying ”relax the band” wasn’t doing it for me....soften the wrists did.

2) I like his French Fry/Pizza analogy because that’s very easy to grasp

3) Liked him saying “Fleetwood Finish”, because that’s what the finish feels like to me if you watch Tommy F

I have to think about it otherwise my left wrist bows and I lose all tension.

That is the great thing about it, it solves multiple swing flaws. I don't think about wrist cock per say, but I do think about keeping hands in and lifting the club up in order to keep the tension during the take away. If you rolled your wrists and sucked the club inside, thinking wrist cock might be the trigger to keep the tension early

I'm genuinely amazed at the changes it has made to my backswing in such a short period of time. My old backswing was very narrow and my face was shut at the top, after using the PM i now realise this was all caused by how my wrists worked in the backswing. now seemingly effortlessly i have more width and a face that very nearly matches my forearm at the top (square).

That’s a true one piece takeaway.

Just give it some time and there will be more than a few on eBay...don’t get me wrong, I think this thing is terrific but there will be a few that think otherwise and get buyers remorse

The guys at TXG released another video today with Matt doing some rotation and release shots. He has one of the best, most consistent swings I’ve seen and it’s refreshing to know that even someone like him who hits the ball a fricking mile has faults. The video was really interesting to watch.

Yes, saw that one earlier. Also amazed that someone at his level could find even more improvement in his swing after just mins on the PM.

One area that’s a bit open to interpretation in my view is the start of the down swing where you feel some slack in the cable, aka the “Relax the band” segment. . In some cases, I’ve seen a very subtle drop of the wrists to get the shaft to shallow and in other cases, I’ve seen a Sergio like literally laying down the shaft to be parallel to the ground as part of the move. Two very different moves and feels.

I think it’s a bit nebulous, because in all other positions, the bands force you into certain positions, but the “Relax” part of the swing can be interpreted in a variety of ways..

What say you guys?

I made one that worked exactly the same in like 15 mins. Had resistance bands laying around with a carabiner on the end. Had a Swingbyte from years ago that I used to clamp band to shaft. For the belt I just used some slick audio cord I had and tied around waist, didn’t put it through loops on my right side so carabiner could slide on it. Worked great.
