Feel bad for Sam. He was putting up some great Thurs-Fri numbers the last few tournaments he's been in, but has just fallen apart on the weekend.

There's a nice video on YouTube that recaps the Scott-Tiger battle in the U.S. Amateur and how Scott is a happily married guy who is a club pro. His future wife was his caddy at the amateur that year.

moving IN the Top 125

Patton Kizzire 129>>>>99

Shawn Stefani 134>>>>123

moving OUT

Robert Streb 124>>>>127 (has missed the cut)

Alex Noren 125>>>>128 (has made the cut)

Jonas Blixt at #122 and Pat Perez at #125 are currently inside the Top 125, but have missed the cut by one shot.

Current #126 Austin Cook did make the cut.

31 players currently outside the Top 125 have made the cut

Alex Cjeka, Boo Weekley and Mike Weir have made the cut and can still move inside the Top 200.

Viktor Hovland and Monday qualifier Paul Peterson are the two non members that have made the cut.

If we had the new cut rules all the -4s would also be going home.

However, 83 players made the 36 hole cut.

So, one last time, there will be a 54 hole cut and those outside the Top 70 and ties will get an MDF finish. The MDF players will get FedEx Cup points, of course, almost certainly less than 2.

I think so too. I was out there today and watched Jordan on the range. He was hitting some beautiful long irons with a 5yard draw. Jordan is a over thinker and needs to get himself out the way and just play golf.

I think Jordan, Casey and Webb are the guys to beat for the weekend.

Interesting cut numbers since you brought it up. This years Wyndham tied the PGA Tour record score for a 36 hole cut at 4 under 136. Last acheived in 2011 at the Travelers. The lowest 36 hole cut on the PGA Tour in relation to par is 6 under. Last happened in the 2008 Shriners (Las Vegas) Hospital event.

But with the same roots as Stenson, parents from over here, people made some noise about that when he made it to the tour. Guess he, like Willet knows like 10 words in our uncouth language.

Let's see how it goes. He's got a chance. But it still seems like he has a fair number of bad full swings and has been draining a lot of putts. A win is a win but this also feels like it could come undone over a few hole stretch (again).

It’s the real human drama of the Tour. Usually we watch walking advertisements who are already multi multi millionaires hit the ball around.

These guys are playing for their jobs and a LOT of money (and the new guys especially really want that money). Sure they’ll prob be fine on the KornFerry Tour but being a tour player is a whole other level. Number 175 in the FedEx cup makes more than the number one guy on the KornFerry.

Like Kaymer lost his card but he’s got his money - these new guys don’t have that kind of luxury.
