It's a tough call for Yuka.

The cutline is -3 but is trending towards -4. It's now or never, Yuka needs to put her blinders on and go hunt birdie on every hole.

Yes, I'm sure Team Bianca will go follow Yuka after her last 5 holes is done... Yuka still has not tee'd off yet :)

If Bianca can (fingers crossed since 3 holes to go), Yuka should summon the will to do it too... Easier said than done of course... And, as you said, it's now or never... I was cautiously optimistic Bianca would be out for blood today (as I know personally she would be giving it all today and would have supported her come what may). Bianca's been like that ever since - never gives up, and gritty (as I'm sure you've seen me post in the previous threads).

I don't know Yuka's personality as well so I will learn a bit today... (for me golf game and personality are different)

EDIT: and, as i type this, B bogeys 16... still -8 for the tournament.. need to finish strong so that she can breathe easier in the clubhouse (and I can breathe easier and eat my ice cream as a reward for being unproductive :P)

Yes, she's the one that drove from canada to FL right? I'm not so sure -4 makes it... unless it gets windier in the afternoon... Yesterday, it was windy in the afternoon which made it tough for the later tee-off times. The morning was not... Today's morning round was calm... I don't know what happens this afternoon... Me being me, I think -6 is the score to try to get to in order to be able to breathe in the clubhouse if you finish early

Fourty-six players are at -3 or better, -3 can still make it.

This is always confusing for me, so top 48 so long as no ties?... and if there's more than 48, then they only get the better score that makes it <48, did i get it finally right? eg no playoff

Birdie for B on #17 - from trouble on the fringe!!! :) One more hole to final stage!

Yes, they don't want playoff considering it's Stage II, in the middle of the process.

Did Bianca's mom call you to provide play by play updates?

the scoreboard has been wonky since yesterday... they eventually corrected Bianca's score yesterday but for a while i was deep in the sh!ts and couldn't take looking at it... for example, round 3 for Bianca showed par bogey par bogey par bogey albatross on the first 6 holes starting from hole 10-16 (she started on the back 9)... then they later corrected it to show the correct score... today, i was smarter not to trust it too soon :)

At this point, I am glad that she managed to pull through - was cautiously optimistic but as you guys know, this is golf... ... BTW, I PM'd you on your question earlier, hope you got the reply :)

I don't exactly know the weather conditions today, but if it's the same as yesterday and the difference btwn morning and afternoon are similar to yesterday's, the afternoon players will have it tougher, that's for sure...

Team Arizona circa class of 2017/18/19 seem to be 2 of 4 as of the moment with Haley Moore at -4... unfortunately Gigi Stoll misses the cut and so did Kyrstal Quihuis

I's beginning to wonder whether it's a bad omen that Hana Financial Group form a "Drive for No. 1 Team Yealimi" before she qualifies for LPGA.

Luckily, she stays in the hunt after sleep walking for 3 days.

I think the tee off times really impacted the way the scoreboard moved the past few days (eg round 3 who tee'd off in the afternoon lagged but offset it today in the morning etc)... I don't know if that's really the situation but we will find out at the end of today/next 4 hours... IF the afternoon is as tough and windy as yesterday, then yes, -3 will make it then... there's already a few who started -3/-4 but are +1 to +2 for the day after 4-5 holes only... I'm so pumped that I might go take a visit to NC LOL

EDIT: YUKA starting to wake up :) -1 for the tournament, -3 for the day so far with tons of golf to go

I'm jealous, late October is great time to travel; especially the southeast of the USA.

I presume you'll be there only for the second and the last week.

Well, I couldn't do anything until today... but we will see how my schedule allows me to do it at least on the last few rounds... It still a flight from here but yes, Pinehurst is a shorter distance to drive versus Venice FL too (12-13 hrs drive vs, a whole day+) :)

Nice to see Haley Moore put together a nice final round of 69. She's safely into Q-Series at -4.

Lucy is hovering near the cut line with a +2 round so far.

I'm sure Lucy wants to qualify for Q-Series, even if she isn't old enough to play.

How many times will Lucy win in Symetra Tour in 2020? Will she set a new record?

Q-School is intrinsically unfair in that every player including Tiger Woods in his prime has an off week and even a blind squirrel finds acorn.

While LET players shine this week; the order of merit winner Marianne Skarpnord is destined to miss the cut.

By and large though; it did help to weed out most of unqualified players before Q-Series.

Sadly she is moving in the wrong direction, needed to birdie 17 or 18, doubled 17 instead

it is a tough game, this golf... certainly the golf gods need to be on your side to succeed as a professional... let alone get a full time card... once you get that card though, you do see the separation(dottie and clarris had their chances the whole yr this yr)... one week of stage ii does not truly identify ALL players 100% but then there's still the final stage to continue the weeding out... (though i sense that this stage 2 is more harrowing for me as a spectator -- or is the last stage even worst? LOL)

Q-Series is much better than Stage II for three reasons:

1. It's two weeks and 8 rounds; Tiger rarely has two bad weeks in a row and cream has enough time to rise to the top

2. The field is much smaller

3. Proven players tend to play better at Pinehurst

It's interesting to note that co-medalists of Stage II in 2018, Kyung Kim and Amy Bolden, failed to qualify for LPGA at Q-Series.

And, as i read this the cut line just moved to -4... my emotional roller coaster for the month will continue into the next few weeks LOL... i'd take it, esp with today's result :)... give me 2 more weeks of this, so long as B makes it please :)

added bonus off topic: rumblings are already happening in Japan that Shibuno has started to re-consider staying put in Jpn, and there's definitely a possibility she will consider US LPGA by Nov 19 (this bonus news is less exciting than Qschool though haha).
