That definitely sounds like it would fit in that spot! Can’t go wrong with any hi toe lob wedge imo

After 4 rounds the Glides are on probation, back in the basement, and in need of some tweaking. I haven't gave up on them yet, but went back to my Vokey SM7s.

The overall weight is too light for my preferences. At some point I will have them reshafted with Dynamic Golds and swing-weighted to match Vokeys. Perhaps that will be helpfull, and I'll be able to give them a fair assessment.

I do really enjoy the feel of the Glides, and the added forgiveness on full shots. The light weight just made my 1/2 and 1/4 shots too jerky. I'm sure it's partially in my head, but going back to the heavier Vokeys did smooth my "touch" swings up a bit.

I had the stock Z-Z115's in m 50/54 setup coming from SM7's and they were too light.

I then put in DG S200's in them and they feel pretty similar to the SM7 with the stock DG S200 shaft. I still think the SM7 is heavier but not by much now.

played again today with the PM Grinds. very wet conditions around here of late. confirmed i struggle like hell with the PM grinds in wet conditions. i have to open the face so much to increase bounce so much to not chunk it, im going with a bigfoot for sure. hope to pick it up Sunday. will get a 3.0 54* SS as well. i love Pings grip on their wedges so much. it makes so much sense, I'm not sure why more wedges don't do that.

Gamed a Glide 2.0 58 degree wedge last year and it was great, but couldn’t make the matching 50 and 54 work. The 50 was short and didn’t fill the gap (lighter weight maybe?). Felt weird to have a mismatched and lighter 58 compared to my DG 50 and 54, but it worked

Probably will avoid the 3.0 as I like a heavy feeling wedge and am switching to Vokeys, but I like the idea of a little more forgiveness compared to my usual blade wedges.

Re-shafted mine with standard S300 9 iron shafts. Just didn't like the feel of the Z-Z115. Swing weights came out at D4 on the 50, D6 on the 56 & 60. I didn't care too much for the Glide and Glide 2.0 Eye grinds but the 3.0s are pretty damn good. Almost as good as the original Eye 2's. I only wish they had made the 50 with the high toe and Eye 2 Sole. I'm not one who spends a whole lot of time looking at the club, I'm trying to focus on the ball. But if your thing is eye appeasing clubs above performance, you probably won't enjoy staring at them. But they absolutely do perform.

Got the 54° SS on order. Can’t wait. (Got the Bigfoot 60° as well).

most likely if the 54°goes like i expect it to (only been able to hit off mats so far with it in store) I’ll pick up a 50° as well first of the year.

I have owned every Glide since they came out, and for me, the 3.0's are simply the best. For me (55 years old, 95-100 mph SS), the move by PING to an overall lighter/softer package in shaft/flex of the ZZ-115 was AMAZING. Simply the best Glide yet, and so happy they went back to the longer grip, as others have said, makes so much sense. Also have others have said, don't sleep on these because the stock shaft does not fit you. Simply order a match of your length, swing-weight, and shaft weight of your prior set-up. These are simply the best ever from PING. I play the Eye, and so glad that they moved to an overall eye remake of shape, not just the Eye Sole, as in previous Glides. It's a shape and look that I grew up on. Well done PING. Now just keep going below the 54 in a complete set of EYE remakes with modern lofts and tech. OMG, would those fly off the shelves. Please PING, pls ;-)!!

Played my first round with the 56 SS today. Had it bent to my specs at 2 degrees flat and 1 degree strong (55). I really liked it. Bounce seems just right...not diggy at all on full swings (which went ~105 for me as hoped), and had some nice chips opening the club to varying degrees. Seems versatile around the greens whether you want to drive it in there low with spin, or semi-flop it. Highlight was a near chip-in for eagle on our par 5 17th that just ran out of steam to finish on the edge. Too much spin...lol! ?

Update; just got my Glide 3.0s back from the fitter after having some DG TI S400 installed instead of the stock ZZ115. Wow what a difference. The extra weight really helps, it feels "normal" again to me. Also makes the head feel softer. Looking forward to gaming them now.

First hits today with the Glide 3.0 Eye 2 60 degree in 40 degree range weather and I am impressed. Full lob shots bounced on the frozen ground twice and stopped on a dime. Never had that kinda spin before with Cleveland’s, Vokeys, or Milled Grind wedges. I can’t wait to see the performance on the course tomorrow.

Let us know how it goes! I just got my 54degree SS and hope to try it out tomorrow if weather permits. Feels pretty good doing some short chips inside the house.

Ill be testing it against a CBX2 when it comes in.

got to use my 50° and 54° and was pretty impressed. Had em since just after Christmas but haven't been able to play with them because of weather, rain, and a blown back. Today, they performed.

These wedges are really really nice. Definitely more forgiving and I had 13/18 GIR which is great for me. Had a few green side bunker shots that checked up really well. Have to learn to make a bigger swing now. Also full shots with lob and 56 just stopped on a dime with one hop. Weather was pretty cold in the mid to upper 40s but the ground was frozen and it was pretty hard to get tees in.

verdict: spinny and forgiving ?
