Pretty awesome how seriously they're taking pace of play. Ciganda and Kang given a bad time. I'm not sure about Kang, but Ciganda has always been a total snail out there.

Why all this “ bad time “ nonsense? This is a exhibition event that’s now into singles match play. Does anybody want to see a hole lost due to a 3 second time violation?

It'd be great if Ciganda would lose a hole at some point near the end of the match, and that becomes the catalyst for her finally playing at a reasonable pace. Her tics and back-offs are infuriating to watch.

Yep. That’s my issue with it. I can’t see how Kang has a bad time. Ciganda probably has 10. But seems like they are going to give both one as a group. That will also be interesting. Give both one then what ? Erase hole and go to the next ?

If we were just talking about today's singles matches, I'd be inclined to agree. The pace talk is coming on the heels of a couple days of glacial play in brutal conditions, though, so it's really a culmination of all three days.

Is that how it works ? Once on the clock position doesn’t matter ? And to you stay on the clock for the rest of the round?

 

Seems like a ripe situation for a slow player to get the group on the clock , then the quicker of the two get a second time and penalty.

A bunch of rando observations. Why does it seem like Lexi has physical issues in big matches? Didn't she have an issue in the last Solheim or maybe it was the International crown? Kang shat the bed on 18. Altomare is putting a smack down on Jodie Hyphen. Nelly is money this week as is Georgia Hall. Having members of teams selected by stroke play tournaments over a year or so does not pick the best players for a Ryder Cup or Solheim Cup event. I would love to see a S. Korea v. The World Solheim-type event.
