Looking forward to trying out the black..hopefully they get the tipping (or lack thereof) right - anyone have a new uncut shaft or know the correct measurement so we all have it for reference?

I noticed that the Ventus shafts that are being offered at an up charge by Mizuno don’t have the VeloCore marking on them.

Are they real deal shafts or made for?

Fuji rep didn’t answer so was wondering what you guys thought.

ATMOS Black and Ventus Black are more similar bend profiles, stiffer handle and mid sections than Ventus Blue. Ventus has a much stiffer tip section that ATMOS.

I tried the smoke hulk over last fall. Nice shaft but the ventus just feels so much better and stable for me

Not a lot more to add, very stable. Excellent feeling shaft. I need to bring spin down a touch, but moving from 2016?GBB head to a Mavrik, be her early next week. I even forgot to bring my Epic head, so no jailbreak at all, was getting every bit of distance as Pro Orange, dispersion was stupi good, better than anything I have hit.

i am only seeing better things coming with newer heads.

Having a hard time deciding if I should buy the black 6X or 7X in the SIM driver. I'm ordering a SIM 15 deg and TM does not offer the 8X through their site so making this difficult to decide on. If I go 7X in the driver I'd have to order an 8X shaft separate out of pocket when I have enough trade to cover the cost of both through TM if ordering 6X and 7X. Just worrying the 6X might feel too light since I've used my 757 evo speeder I tour spec for the past several years and it's around 77g I think. 

Also wondering if the black is too low launching and the blue with mid launch might be better. I'm a high launch and spin player but I think the 757 is more mid launch and I like the ball flight I get from this (except I think I have it cranked down to 8 or 8.5 deg in my M5 with weights both forward/center. Fuji website used to have the specs on there but they have gone missing since the new update so can't compare my shaft to the ventus.

The PRO TS 73 will be softer in the handle and Ventus will be stiffer in the tip and handle. Theyre both considered low launch and spin, but Ventus should be around 200 rpms LESS spin than the PRO TS. Ventus will feel stiffer than PRO TS. Ventus will help you avoid that big hook because of stiffer tip, you could even try tipping the Ventus .5" or 1" to drop spin and avoid the left more

How would you guys compare the Ventus black 6X to a Tensei Pro White 60 TX?

I have the PW in my driver currently, but I have Atmos blue TX in my 3W and hybrids and love them. Always been a huge fan of Fujikura shafts (757’s in particular) and would love to try one in a new SIM I’m thinking about ordering.

I was fortunate enough to win a Ventus Black 6-S in a giveaway. Love how straight it goes but it feels like too much shaft for me. The Red would have been a better fit. Either way, very impressive line by Fujikura.

I know it has been mentioned earlier in this thread but this shaft is everything that it's advertised to be. Almost so good I'm about to delete my e_bay acct. The pros: low straight bullets that knuckle and tumble forever. The cons: in my opinion you have to have a fairly aggressive swing to properly maximize the shaft's ability.

This shaft has actually helped improve all parts of my game from the putting to the irons and wedges. I've been able to spend 3 minutes practicing my driver instead of 30! Thanks Fujikura!

Long time tensei pro white 60tx player here. A few range sessions in with the Ventus Black 6x and it seems smoother and seems to launch a little higher, so far so good... Getting her on the course this weekend.

Good news here, big fan of Pro White and never had too much issue with launch even with one that has a little too much tipping that I keep in a travel bag. Have been worried the Ventus Black might be a little too low/low for me.

I've got an OG Epic Sub Zero w/ Tensei Pro White 60tx and the new setup is SIM with the real Ventus black 6x, both are not tipped, both are same loft. Ventus/Sim Launches higher. More to follow

Yea, without the VeloCore on the bottom, I'd stay away. I went in for a fitting yesterday at CC, and was able to hit these. I ended up buying the Blue 5S. Went a little lighter this time. I was able to pick up 15 yards carry, and 10 total yards over my stock Tour shaft in the G410. Was hitting it about 12' higher on average. I was hitting the made for shafts at the local shop after I got back, and my numbers went back down to below my gamer now. I tried several different heads yesterday, and was getting pretty good numbers with all of them with the real deal shafts. My smash factor went from 1.43 to 1.48-1.49 on average with this shaft. I tried every shaft they had, and kept going back to this one.
