Just moved to Lansing, looking for a club to join!

Hello,

Just moved out to the Lansing area ( Delta Township) from NJ and I am hoping to find a club to join. I was a member of a club back home so I am trying to find something similar here in Mi, something with tournaments and leagues preferred. Grand Ledge CC is not to far from me and somewhere I’m considering, does anyone have an opinion on that course? not sure what the dues are but will give them a call.

The best private club in Lansing is Lansing Country Club. It is a nice club and I enjoy the course.

 

I haven’t play Grand Ledge CC in 20 years, so I don’t remember it much. I thought it went public or semi-private.

Another option is joining The University Club in East Lansing. They offer an additional fee to have a membership at Forest Akers which is MSU’s home course. You will have to battle against public play.

The only truly private option in the area is Lansing CC. From there you're stretching down to Marshall CC (50 minutes south) or Duck Lake (45 min). By that time you're entering into Battle Creek or Jackson drive times and they're an hourish.

The only other private option was in Haslett and it went out of business last year.
