Time capsule....NOS Sexiness

I played the Monodyne's - they were really nice, buttery, pretty easy to hit, too (compared to the super-thin Hogan PC, or the Palmer Peerless, or the VIP's). I picked up a set of Apex II at a shop at a local course that was liquidating them, and they became my players and I sold the Daiwa. Surprised to see that there's a following for the Daiwa stuff...! Certainly understand why...

I'd have to play them. Not playing them would be like buying a new Ferrari and parking it in your garage without going for a Sunday cruise every weekend.

Not sure if I can bring myself to play them....I am literally sitting in my garage staring at their stunning beauty. A tad bigger than my Muirfield 20th and a nice tall square toe. Simply gorgeous...

In my opinion, you've got to play them.  They were built to strike a golf ball - that's how you'll enjoy them the most.

You HAVE to play those! Not playing them would be like having a mint 69 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet delivered to your garage but missing the keys!

I own these now. I'm still looking for the matching sand wedge.

If you can't find one, I would recommend a PING EYE2 SW.  They make a great compliment to a nice set of blades. That was Seve's set-up.   Ping also made a run of them with conforming grooves pretty recently.   I have one of those, and it's just as good as my 80's model.

Even though I am a dyed in the wool Cleveland man I will back you up on that. LOL I even have a Eye2 and Zing SW. Both of them spin the crap out of a ball. For some reason I like my Zing better love the grind and the way it sits. Right now at my home course playing in the dog fights I do not need a SW and since the Covid thing our traps are not maintained. If I do happen to get into a match I do slide one of my Hogan Sure Outs in the bag for those traps

I have to agree on this as well. Although it would stand out like a mutt in a dog show, there's not much better to be found. And if it was good enough for Seve (arguably the greatest short game player ever), it's certainly good enough for me.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.
