2006 WITB updated to 2020 WITB

Just got back into playing after more than 10 years, and most of my bag is 13 years old when I graduated high school. Replaced my first club the other day, a 905 S driver swapped for the M5 tour.

The rest of my bag is a PT 13 fairway wood, 3-PW is RAC mb irons, Cleveland 588 tour action wedges 56 and 60, along with a hogan Special 51 K grind or a callaway X-16 2 iron pending course or my mood lol. Putter is a Cameron studio design 1.5.

That PT13 is pure class! What shaft do you have in it? I had a PT 15 w/ the UST Proforce 75 (yellow/purple Laker) shaft. Wish I never sold it.

dynamic gold s300. It's definitely one of my favorite clubs of all time.

This is one of the best WITBs in a long time! Love the irons, and I would hang on to that 3 wood for a long, long time! I made the mistake of trying to 'upgrade' my 3 wood and have never felt as comfortable with one since... I'd give back the 10 yards to be able to hit it without second thought again!

An update to WITB and the bag itself.

changes include a TS2 16.5 w/ Fujikura Motore speeder vc 7.2 X, SM8 52.12 F and 56.14 F w/ DG S400, and 3-5 irons are titleist 718 AP2. Irons now have Nippon modus 125 X shafts.

Update to putter is a 35” spider mini copper.

the new bag is a Links & Kings waxed canvas and leather.

I really like the Motore, creates a nice mid high ball flight for me with the 16.5 that I can easily stop on a green

Man, you aren’t messin’ around with your setup. Those mirrored finished Miura blades look amazing! What shafts? You might as well do a full WITB “Independence Day” edition for us... lol. Here’s to a healthy/safe golf-filled 4th of July!

Modus 125 X with tour velvet cords. I got 3-pw in their chrome D14 finish with no paint fill. The 3-5 are cb1008 with reduced offset and thinner topline, 6-pw are TBzero(mb101).

 

the update on the bag also includes a SM8 60 k grind low bounce, with some nice rust showing already. Also will probably keep the AP2 3 iron in the bag. For now i think the bag is set.

Some updates for the 2021 season, a few new clubs are in the bag or in testing for a spot and I also have started working with a teaching pro to sharpen up my game overall and really work on my short game come spring. 

 

As for the clubs, I have a TSi3 10* with a ventus black 6x in the bag, I also am going to be trying a ventus black 7x in my 16.5 TS2, but I also have a TS2 21 fairway wood in the mail that I will be trying the ventus black 7x in. 

 

I also have a set of ping glide 3.0 that will probably go right in the bag. I still have my SM8 52 and 56, but I got rid of the low bounce K 60 as I really only liked it out of the bunker or in deep rough. From the fairway or short grass around the greens I need something with more bounce. The low bounce wide sole is awesome when you open up the face but on square shots it wasn't working for me. Going to give the ping wedges a chance, they look really nice at address!

 

As for the putter, I'll still probably game my spider mini for the most part as it was the best club in my bag last year but have been rolling a betti inovai 7.0 along with an older odyssey tri hot #1, which I have been loving. I'm also trying out a Garsen Ultimate grip which I have been really liking so far.

WITB is finally set for 2021! I don't see anything changing other than maybe the putter, but I don't see that getting knocked out of the bag for any reason other than to just roll something different for a round.
