Titleist TS4

I won't play a 460 head. They go slower in the bay, are ugly to my eye and my swing is more consistent with a smaller head. My swing speed is 97 - 99 with driver I'm 54 and a 10 handicap. TS 4 not supposed to be for me.

My favorite driver ever was the first Cleveland launcher with the yellow shaft....I think it's 330cc. Driving is strong/strongest part of my game (accuracy obviously!) The Launcher was a big club at the time. Last spring I decided new technology was way overdue...tried a few big heads - no go. Found Nike vr2 pro limited with a diamana shaft for 50 bucks on eBay. If u want a slightly smaller head on the cheap get one of these.

Convinced myself that there was even more tech available perhaps in forgiveness and went to fitter ...the ts4 and hzardous smoke 70 won. But to be honest the Nike is almost the same club. Ts4 actually looks smaller somehow. To date I have not hit the ts4 past best Nike drives.....but not as many rounds yet (prob 10 so far). I do like it....find it likes a lowish tee height. Tried sub zero triple diamond (miss is left) too big and a bit too right.

Also changed ball to up spin a bit....was playing AVX previously. Might have benefitted from higher spin shaft too if just listened to numbers but feel won out. I am a feel/look kind of player when it comes to clubs.

I put a TS4 in the bag a little over a month ago. My local Play It Again Sports got it in a trade. Traded in a 913D2 and a few MP-T4 wedges I was no longer using - just over $100 out of pocket.

Put a Diamana W-series 60S in it. Yeah, that's NICE. Best feeling driver I've ever hit. Dense, like the feel you get when going from cast to forged irons and you flush one.

I like the smaller head size/shape and my swing speed has increased. Played 36 yesterday and almost drove a 340-yd par 4; wound up 20 yards short.

Its not as forgiving as modern 460 heads, that's for sure. But I definitely know when I miss it, and I want that feedback. And the ball just flies. :)

I had the same issue. I had the TS4 8.5* paired w an Obama Black and was still launching the ball high like you. I eventually switched back to TM when the SIM 8* came out. I have always preferred Titleist drivers: 975D, 905J, 984K but first switched loyalties w the TM m1 driver.

Thought it was time to go back to team Titleist w the TS4, but I’m back w Team TM in the end.

Feel from the TS4 was fantastic and it's a great head to look down on. I moved onto an Flash sz 3 diamond driver which tbh was a fantastic club, but when testing a Sim 8 degree against it the Sim won out. Early days yet and i hope it works out because i sold the triple diamond for a 100 quid more than i paid for it.
