i just bought the XCG model, 15 degress, with aldila DVS stiff shaft..

and i have never, and i really mean never, hit a better, longer og more workabel spoon before..

This is by far the best 3-wood i have ever had in my hands... It sets up so perfect its almost scary, and yes it is 20 yards+ longer than any other 3-wood i have tried.. how they do it, i dont know, but it just goes on and on and on....

the price is nothing when u first have tried this club..u would even pay more for it, if they had u to...

hi...

as i know, the DVS shaft in fairway woods, are similar to the aldila VS proto shafts in drivers..

I dont find it dead at all, but really smooth and firm as u wrote.. the weight of 75 grams are perfect in the mix with the clubhead-weight.. Colour wise it couldnt match better either :russian_roulette:

But it of course all depends on the swing u put on it, so go and test it..

If u dont have a chance of doing that, i dont think u can go wrong with the DVS shaft, its a great shaft in my oppinion...

(sorry for the english, i try my best)...

I just posted on another thread but this club IS a MONSTER! I also have the 3 wood with DVS shaft and this bad boy is money. In a head to head battle with my driver the 3 wood is usally straighter and on my best swings with both only about 20 yards shaorte. On hard fairways then it's even closer becasue I get a little more roll with the 3 wood. I thought it was longer due to shaft lenght but my R7 is actually a 1/2 longer and not nearly as long.

I scoffed at the price too until I hit one. Also I had Tour Edge replace the shaft for free. If I can't find a cheap 5 wood I will pay retail for a new one. That's saying a lot as I never pay retail :-)

I unwrapped and put my new CB2 3-wood and CB2 5-wood into play today. The 3-wood is as solid and long as advertised but...the 5-wood is an awesome golf club. I recorded a par-4 eagle today on a 210-yard, uphill shot using my new CB2 5-wood!

(Think I'll give the Exotics hybrids a test drive next!)

I am sold. The Tour Edge Exotics are the best fairway wood I have hit. Tuesday I ordered a TEE CB 1 16.5 four wood and had it shipped express so I could use today in a tournament. I know not smart using a new club for the first time at a tournament. Well anyway I hit maybe 5 balls with it at the range and then off for my tee time. I used it about 6 times on the course and each shot was straight long and hit just liked I wanted resulting in making par each and every time I used it for a shot. Now if I could only figure out how to leave myself with 230 left on each par 4 and par 5 and I would be shooting par golf. It is a great club.

Just a follow up...Today in my club tournament I got on both LONG par fives in two with my TEE XCG 3 wood (measured with skycaddie) after two medicore tee shots. One hole I hit it on from 240 uphill and on another I hit it on the back of the green from 235. This club can seriously give my driver a run for it's money on tourney day!

Just picked up a CB1 13 today after I stopped in a golf store in the town I was working in.....I really didnt NEED a new club but I took it out to the range and had to take it home. I was hitting this thing at least 280 off the tee and probably close to that off the mat. It has a NV stiff shaft in it and it was pretty cheap.

I really like it. I also have the CB2 15 that I picked up in a trade with an NVS shaft but have yet to hit it. I will post a review when I get a chance to hit it.

All Clubs subject to change relative to my last bad round of golf......

I bought my first exotics fairway woods (13+ strong) and 15) in 2005, and I cannot switch. They are both incredible. The 13 strong redefines the word BURNER. This baby REALLY burns. When you find something that works, why switch? These two clubs are so good, that I am afraid to go to the newer versions. No joke, this company is incredibly under-rated.

A player's club.. LONG! easier to hit than persimmon, harder to hit than a cally or adams. Not unforgiving by any stretch, but requires a decent swing. But did I say LONG yet? or EXPLOSIVE? This is the best FW I have hit, next to the other undiscovered phenomenal wood, the Kasco K2K 33 15 degree. You think the TEE is hard to find?? Look for a Kasco..

The CB2 TEE is an amazing, beautiful, fun club. 5 stars hands down. I use the 16.5 degree because it is as long or longer than any 3 wood I've used. I previously used Callaway Hawk Eye VFT Pro and an Adams Tight Lies, both nice clubs for sure, but a solid shot with a TEE club into a par 5 puts a smile on your face every time.

Wow, don't hear too much talk about the Kasco K2K 33....by far the best weapon in my bag. Ball lands like a wedge shot from 235 yards...great for hitting par 5s. Love my TEE CB2 13* 3 wood also off the tee or into the wind.

I have the 16.5 CB2 4W with OEM X-QUAD stiff. It's my only fairway wood, next club is my 2H . I hit it 220 carry consistently with 10-20 yards of roll. Medium high, but not ballooned trajectory - i.e. rises nicely but flattens out and just keeps going. My SS is 100 mph with driver. I see no reason to play anything else. The 4W is as long as any 15 degree 3W I have hit, but much easier and is beautiful and makes a sweet sound. Set up is square, head is just the right size. Playable from tee or fairway. Don't know what they did, but they got it right with these. The only FW I like almost as much is the Kasco K2K which I own, but they are rare. The CB2 club seems a lot like the Titleist PT 906F4 in terms of size.

I was thinking about picking up a 13* CB2. Anyone have any experience with the stronger loft? Just wondering if I'll be able to get it off the ground. Mainly would use it off the tee, but you never know.

I picked up one from Floyd and have played 2 rounds with it so far. Stupid long. First swing (didn't even get to the range!) was on a 284yd short par 4. I thought I would chase it up the front of the green but instead it pitched on the green and rolled off the back. Second swing was on a par 5 from the tee and I was 10-15 yards further than the rest of the group all hitting driver. I have yet to be far enough from a par 5 to hit it yet, but have hitten a few balls out the fairway for fun and haven't seen any problems getting it up off of the turf. Hope this helps. I will probably pick up a 15 degree as well.

I've been looking to replace my TM 300 series fairways and have been coveting the TEE CB1's for a while after spotting them on US Ebay (they're rare-ish on UK Ebay). Lost out a few times on auctions as they seem to hold their second hand value quite well, usually going for $80 - $110 if in good condition + HC. Anyhoo, checked out US bay this morning, just out of habit, and I couldn't believe my eyes. CB1 3 & 5 woods being sold as a pair, both with Aldila NV 65's - The price ? "Buy It Now" $100 !!!! (+ $12 shipping). As you can guess, I was all over this like a tramp on a pizza - never knew I could type so fast.

So, when I arrive in Cincinnati on vacation in 2 weeks there'll be a few bits n' bobs for me to play with - apart from the TEE's, I've 2 brand new Fuji Speeder 869's waiting. ($120 the pair-God bless Ebay)

Anyone recommend a good clubfitter / builder in the Tristate area that will do a good reshafting job ? Those NV 65's gotta go !!! :man_in_love:

I just picked up a TEE 16.5* CB1 in search of a more versatile fairway wood. I have traditionally only carried one fairway wood (along with two hybrids) and have struggled to find a wood which is both playable from the tight North Texas summer lies and long enough from the tee for longer tight holes. Essentially, I need a fairway wood that I can hit 240-50 from the tee and is playable from very tight lies.

This club seems to fit the bill so far. Playability of a 4/5 wood, distance of a 3 wood -- great combination.

The OEM shaft did not work for me. I have always played Fuji Vista Pros in my fairway woods/hybrids -- had a Fuji E380 put in the TEE -- seems to be a nice combo.

EDIT: I've been playing this club for about 3 weeks or so. I'm shocked at the distance that I am getting out of this combination. This 4 wood is the longest 3 wood I've ever played. Also, love the slightly open look of the head at address.

The only issue I've found with TEE fairways is that they aren't the best from the rough or anything less than a perfect lie. The face tends to be not shallow enough for that use but off the tee and a good lie they are just immense with the right (non OEM) shaft.

Am going to have a try of the new XCG-V today and see how that stacks up against my R9.

Just demo's the TEE CB3 with Motore R shaft, brand new.

Ok, there's been all kinds of great talk about the distance of the TEE fairway woods.
I found the CB3 to be a pretty much dead bird.

The feel is dull. The shaft is too heavy for that 3 wood head.
I compared it to the Callaway Razr Hawk 15* with the RIP and the Callie just blew the CB3 away. Feel, distance off the tee, off the grass and I liked the sound and appearance of the Hawk more. The RIP shaft is light, and so the head of the club is very much there. I found the TEE CB3 to not have that quality.

I expected a rocket launcher, but there was nothing about the CB3 that met my expectations.
Nice enough looking, but it's basically a TM 300 Series without the channel on the top of the head that the TM has.
I am sure few will agree with me on the CB3, but this is what I found. I was very disappointed in it, frankly. I give it a 3.

I've got the CB4 Tour shafted with an Accra stiff shaft-- This is my 9th Tour Edge Exotics fairway wood and to me they just keep getting better-- the Cb4 is as long as the RBZ stage 2--- I tested them side by side, real world, real Pro V's and it's a lot easier to hit off the fairway- both were great off the tee, but I love the flight, feel and forgiveness I get in the TEE package--- I always try out the latest and greatest fairway woods and I'm just a believer in Exotics.

It sounds like NCGolfDude has the most experience with the TEE models but I would also like to hear from anyone who has played the XCG 5, 6 and 7 models and the CB 4 and 5 models. Which are the most versatile off the tee and the deck, combined, with the TEE distance kept in mind?

I am looking at the XCG 6, currently.

10 hdcpr. here, with 95 mph, plus or minus, swing speed with the driver, Use a R shaft with my tempo.
Currently play the Ping G25, 16.5 fairway - easy to hit but lacking in TEE distance.

Thanks, metrybill
