I had issues with dizziness, and met with my doc to tweak the meds. In the end we changed the type of drug, the dosage, and the time of day it was to be taken. 90% of my issues have gone away since then.

You know I get why this is an issue, but where do you draw the line between PE and using the drug for it's intended purpose to "make you normal" .

Why isn't dipping illegal? I know for a fact, because of a previous addiction, that it can help calm the nerves.

There are therapeutic use exemptions. Problem was guys who has no reason to take them other than performance were using them. If it’s a legit medical issue there’s ways around it

Adjusting and perhaps switching to another type of med is quite normal during the course of treatment. You should communicate your concern to your healthcare provider on any issue that influence your normal routine.

If you're new to the HP medication, same as with any other medication, takes awhile to let your body and mind adjust to the medication. You may have other medical condition beside HP, so seek medical consultation and referral for other specialists for the concerned matter.

If everything is good, then you'll be getting used to the medication soon enough.

I was told this is probably the mildest of the BP meds but it gave me the sensation of my arms being detached. I might sound crazy but it caused me to grip/swing harder. Made me feel lethargic and I hated it. Stopped taking it all together and felt much better immediately. Might be a ticking time bomb but exercising and dieting to get my BP lower instead.

Hydrochlorothiazide. Label says it will make you dizzy, and get this, avoid sunshine, real golfing meds here, and if you don't take them, how can you possibly understand. Since taking this my putting has gone in the garbage. I was pretty decent till this stuff. I am also taking Meloxicam for arthritis.

Diuretic? Always the chance that meds can affect your balance. Lack of balance (e.g. ear infection) absolutely destroys my golf swing.

In a safe place, maybe try one-leg balance tests with your eyes open, and then closed. It may be that you need to actively work on improving your balance if it turns out you’re having trouble with it.

Try taking your BP medication at night, I made the switch after talking with my doctor, my side effects that I noticed a few hours after taking meds went away, because I’m sleeping when they happen, or my body adjusted. Only downside, is if you take a diuretic, then you get up a lot to go to bathroom, that pill I taking in the morning. I was having similar issues with HCTZ, doctor recommended I up my hydration, and use a sugar free hydration supplement, I use a supplement called Ultima Replenisher, its electrolytes and minerals. It has really helped a lot, diuretic can affect potassium and sodium levels, causing those symptoms.

Beta Blockers and other blood pressure medicine don’t help performance. I think it was something that Mac latched on to as many Tour players were upset with him because he was accusing them of cheating when some of them needed Beta Blockers for their hypertension and Mac got it into his head that lower blood pressure would be an advantage.

As a long time taker of blood pressure medicine it is, by far, much more of a hindrance to my game than it is an advantage. You can still have nerves and have low blood pressure. And when my blood pressure is substantially lower than normal, that’s one of the worst feelings in the world and is actually worse than having an elevated blood pressure (when it comes to golf performance).

Usually if my blood pressure gets abnormally lower than usual it saps my strength, makes me a little dizzy and depth perception becomes an issue. The best I can do is to make sure I take it at certain intervals of the day, get a good night’s rest and don’t do it on an empty stomach.

My experience is very similar to yours. The world has more Non-performance enhancing drugs than PED's.
