Billy Bobs only carries the lighter weight .370 parallel tip shafts, you can order those individually from most anywhere. Nothing on the the website about the 105 or 125 .355 taper tips.

I ordered my 125TX set through People’s Golf, he had to order in the 4-PW set but had extra wedge shafts in stock.

Interesting. Looks like they are coming directly from MCA as well.

Nope. Coming from seller Shaft Technologies. Either the vendor is splitting up sets or they’ll soon realize that they can’t deliver what they’re selling.

Ok I see it now, your right. I just saw the by MCA Golf below the description and thought that was the seller. So who wants to be the guinea pig and order one and see what happens?

Funny thing is on eBay ShaftTechnologies only has them as full sets and single wedge shafts.

@MITSUBISHI CHEMICAL I'm currently a DG X100 player, but am looking for something that doesn't really require I swing as aggressively and maintains a smooth feel. Was considering soft stepping the 125TX. Thoughts on that route or just stay with it straight in? Typical 6i swing speed 92-93ish

Nothing is safe in my bag!

Your going to continue to see more and more players on tour switching over to graphite in irons. They are now at the point where they offer clear advantages over steel without sacrificing performance or feel.

Ive played Modus 120X (favorite steel shaft hands down) in my last 2 sets of irons and am moving to the 125TX straight in. Hopefully will get my new set built up in the next week or so and can report back on how it works out.

I’m building some Apex Pro double dots as well with the 125TX. Also have been battling joint issues the past few years, hoping these help with that while still getting the performance I was seeing in the Modus 120X.

It seems ever since the Steelfibers, Recoils and then MCI came out many have been predicting the death of steel iron shafts, yet it never comes to fruition. I wonder if the MMT finally becomes the missing link?

There won't be just 1 thing or 1 company that causes the death of the steel iron shaft. Takes time and tour acceptance. IMO I think companies finally have the tech and materials to match steel in performance. Over the next 5 years I think they will continue down that road and surpass steel to the point where more and more tour players make the switch. For me though, no going back. Love the performance and feel and it's easier on my joints. Done deal.

What did you think about them?

I'm seriously considering trying these. The set I have with recoils weren't the greatest and went back to the basement when my elbow started feeling better. I'm looking at the 105s and the 105tx. I'm a ~155 ball speed guy with driver, 165 yard 7 iron. I tend to hit the ball extremely low with too little spin or I'd be going straight to the 105tx.

The other thing is the heads I'd put these in are .370, shouldn't be any additional issues with using shims on a graphite shaft right?

After some searching I have a 7 iron shaft on the way. I’ll be building two 7 irons, one with a MMT 105 stiff and the other with a Fuji Pro Iron 115. Hoping to find something that allows me to feel the club head better than the SF’s I’m gaming now.

I had a fitting at TXG and was told the 120TX is much stouter then the 120X

I know that the torque values in the manufacturer specs are close, but this is just what I was told, so just to let you know... maybe they have different bend profiles, I'm not sure

But since no manufacturer offers 120TX as a factory option I ordered 120X hard stepped 1x (direct from Srixon at no up-charge as well... ). So I'm gonna experiment with this and if it doesn't work I'm probably just gonna break the piggy bank open and get the real TX's. I've only hit the new irons indoors on basic simulators, so dont know yet.

This thread has me very interested in just skipping that and going to MMTs though
