I saw a thread open on Brooks playing MMT.. anyone hear anything about this? I know he switched driving irons from the faithful Nike to P790.. maybe in that?

I just wanted to chime in to thank you guys for an excellent thread. Just plowed through the entire thing over the last hour or two.

And, looking forward to the ongoing chatter, with more folks trying these shafts.

@Jack_H - there is no "W" on the PW shaft that is part of the set, least that I am aware of.
The stock MMT PW shaft is 35.5" for all weights. The separate "Scoring Wedge" shaft that has a "W" at the bottom of the graphic is 36" in length, also its 130 grams. The wedge shaft that comes with the set is 125 grams, like the rest of the shafts. Also, on the Scoring Wedge MMT page it doesn't say it's Taper Tip, which suggests to me, it's parallel tip. As I know them, Taper Tip and Parallel tip are different shafts, reason I only play taper tip.

Not sure if the taper is a different price (its listed as a special order item) but Golfworks has the parallel for $60 which is a bit lower than $100 and much more inline with the other good graphite shafts such as Steelfiber and Recoil.

I have 125 MMT 9 iron shafts in my 50 and 56 T-20 wedges and an MCI Mild in my lob wedge. I would guess the Mild is probably closer in profile to MMT which seems backward but I took the Mild to be the stiffer tipped version.

At any rate I honestly don’t notice much difference at all. If they all had the same labels on them I wouldn’t be any the wiser. ??‍♂️

Finally was able to get a 105s into a p790 5 iron head. I’m playing it more like a 4 iron to my p750 set. So far with 2 sessions on the launch monitor the results are great and the shaft has a great feeling to it. Can’t wait to see how it reacts on the course.

Would be very interesting if these start making graphite relevant for all player types. I don't think anyone would be upset at less fatigue after a long session or number of round while getting the same or better results.

Thanks, I got a good deal on the Fuji MCI Solid 125 wedge shafts. Should be delivered in a few days and then a few to get built in my Honma TW-W4 wedges.

Update, I picked up my wedges yesterday fitted with the Fujikura MCI Solid 125 wedges shafts. Wow, They look awesome!

I was able to get a short session in my basement hitting booth last night. About 25 shots with each. Nothing full throttle because my whole winter prep has been committed to changing my game to be much more controlled and less than 100% swing effort. Kinda moved to three quarter effort on most all shots and thats what I did last night indoors.

These wedges were already perfect for my game. I feel they have been moved up a few notches to tour level adding the MCI shafts! I don't think I've seen any WRX'ers with the same wedge setup as I have.

Love the feel, vibration damping is top notch. Moving to graphite shafts in all my clubs has been awesome. I've already done more practicing in the past month then from Sep to Feb. All because of the graphite verse steel and its effects because of my elbow tendonitis.

Hope all who moved to graphite has the same results as I'm experiencing right now. Now all I need is the weather to cooperate and this covid virus to get killed off so we can get back to normalcy.

Ordered an MMT to put in my DI. May be some time before I get it out on the course but I'd imagine it will be a pretty sweet when I'm able to.

I can say when I waggle the Recoils in Stiff feel very boardy. Anyone notice that with the MMT? I was lucky enough to get tennis elbow last month so I'm looking away from steel and I want to go lighter than my KBS Tour Stiff. I wonder if going to Reg flex is the answer and stay around 100g-110g with graphite. Anything in 125TX is way outta my league.

In my experience, the 125TX is quite butt stiff, so it'll feel stout with the waggle test. In the swing though, they're insanely smooth.

Any comparison between these and the Fujikura Pro 115 Tour Spec iron shafts?

I have two identical 7 irons, one with a MMT 105S and the other with the Fuji Pro 115 TS. Trajectory and distance, there is no difference. The Fuji feels a bit stiffer in the handle and is more difficult to turn over and hit left. I think the Fuji players stiffer to flex than the MMT.

I wonder if anyone can shed some light on the difference between TT S300 shafts and the MMT Taper 105 in TX flex? I am looking for a graphite replacement shaft for my Titleist MB irons, but I want something a bit lighter weight than the S300 and a little easier on the joints. Was looking at the MMT Taper shafts, but I feel like I need to stay in the 115 gram weight, but worried the flex might be too stiff from what I was coming from? Anybody with any thoughts or experience on this?

I went from TT AMT S300 to MMT 105TX and 125TX SSx1 in my HMB/MB combo set. I find the MMT a touch friendlier overall with no sacrifice in control or dispersion.

I was wanting to have one or two of my irons reshafted with the 105TX, but I was a little concerned with it getting too stiff. I have never been one to be able to handle the "really stiff" shafts with my swing. I don't have access to a clubfitter that has these shafts as an option, and with the COVID-19 shutting everything down, I have not been able to travel to the next Club Champion of GolfTec to demo these. I figured I would just order a shaft of two and give it a whirl instead.

Got my 105 tx utility in today, going to install it in my hmb 2 iron, can anyone tell me if people are tipping it? Play c taper in the rest of my irons

If you got the taper tip (which the 105TX is) I don't believe these were designed to be tipped, much like how like steel iron shafts aren't tipped.

yea it’s the specific UT 105tx

Yeah the Mitsubishi website has them listed with no tip length, so it wasn't designed to be tipped. You'll see other graphite wood shafts often with a 3 inch tip length that can be tipped.
