Ian Poulter's Amazing Car Collection

I searched to see if this had been posted already, but didn't see it. Anyway, Poulter is fairly well known for liking nice cars, but I never knew his collection was this serious. He's made some good choices with his 40 Million in Career Earnings on Tour(s):

yeah - two La Ferrari's. I can't imagine there are more than a handful of people in the world with two of them. Maybe just him and Jay Leno.

Oh yeah, Leno has a far superior enthusiasts' collection than most anyone I've seen.

 

And he actually drives them.

Leno isn’t even on the same planet. He has a master collection.

 

 

Poulter is a good entry level Ferrari enthusiast. You have to be restoring vintage stuff to be a collector.

Leno doesn't own any Ferraris. They were dicks to him at the dealership early in his career, so he never bought any. He appreciates them and has driven them on his Leno's Garage show, but doesn't own any.

 

I'm sure there are at least 20 that have both. Preston Henn, famous for the SWAP SHOP, was turned down for one and sued Ferrari. The rumor is Ferrari didn't want another one of their cars sitting in his flea market. Preston's collection makes Poulter's look like a starter kit.

Jerry is now worth over 1 billion and he's a Porsche guy.

I have only one.

A Lamborghini parked behind me at the grocery store last week, and I thought it looked better than a Ferrari. It sat so low that I wasn't sure I could get out if I ever got in.

Check out Ben Sloss, Google exec. He's got multiple La Ferrari's, along with their racing brothers the FXX-K and a handfull of others. And actually races them all.

not really ... quantity and quality are two different things ... leno's collection has some really neat cars in them ... seinfeld's, too, but leno's is just more interesting, and he's not close to seinfeld's worth ... leno's '63 & '58 jaguar/'66 toronado/'55 mercedes (very sweet)/stingray are way cooler than anything poulter has, and i doubt they cost as much as those ferraris ...

Ya, my "classic" car experience was back in the day with this 3.0 si. Wasn't very "clean", had been in an accident and fixed sprayed but nice car, could move well, fun to drive. The coolest thing was this tool kit build into the trunk.

I've had 1984 911 C for about 12 years. 68,000 miles. Garage queen, targa. A friend was divorcing and needed to sell it.

Drive it to church and around town. My son took it to his prom - good memories. I want to sell it but it feels like a family member now.

Just winterized it and it's parked.
