I've decided to finally take the plunge after much testing this year for balls.  I am currently alternating between the CSX LS and MTB-X.  I was givien a sleeve of the Left Dash to try earlier this year and found them to be similar to the LS except that it flew higher.  My problem is that I love to tinker with equipment but especially balls.  I went ahead and ordered 2 boxes from the Titleist website.  My question to you guys that bought these direct from Titleist is, what state do the balls ship from?

High probability that they are coming from Massachusetts

I just ordered a couple of dozen from Titleist.  They arrived to Texas from Massachusetts in 3 days.

Thank you gents.  I'm all the way over on the West Coast so it will probably take a week or so to get here.  Was it USPS?

Played 9 holes yesterday, and was striking the ball well.  Just thought I would share that when hitting my 8 iron into the green, the ball stayed within 2 feet of the ball mark on the green, and on another hole, I had a 9 iron into the green and the ball came back about 2 feet.  I have previously noted that a 7 iron will roll out about 6-10 feet for me.  As I am learning these things, I am able to now make decisions taking this into account, and have really optimized the ball for my game.  It is worth "figuring this ball out" at least for me, as it is the least affected by wind, and the straightest ball off the tee and this is significant, if I learn to manage the roll out with long irons by playing to the front of the green, not the pin.

Update on DASH -ProV1x.  I still like the ball, but use it on warm days.  The SOCA weather has cooled off making it more difficult to compress DASH, so AVX is back on tee most days.

Side-by-side on cooler days, AVX is always a tad longer and muted a bit off the 620 face, as opposed to DASH is a bit loud.  Sounds more like a rock stuck with an old cast CB.  Mind you, its sound doesn't bother me.  It's just this ole man needs the extra distance I get with AVX even ProV1.

The other day, for sh** and giggles, I put a ProV1x in play, and I sh** when I saw how much it spins.  I must have lost or gained 10-12yds, thanks to slightest bit of left side spin, it exacerbated the spin, in some cases, long, but hard left. Yuck. 😛

totally agree, this is not a winter ball.  I got used to the firm feel in the summer, but I always switch to a soft ball for the winter.

Prior to this ball i hated titleist balls, they just never lived up to the hype. My home club is parkland so keeping out the trees is a must, this is the straightest ball i've ever used off the driver, i tend to tinker so i test at least 3 new balls each year. The driver distance was noticeably longer, bunkers i normally can't reach i'm over them with this ball. Irons no increase in distance but the flight is flatter. Definitely less greenside spin but it's predictable so you can quickly adjust. Durability was average.

Totally forgot to leave a review on the left dash.  To me it's a good combo of the MTB-X and CSX LS.  It launches higher overall than the CSX LS.  It also spins less with irons compared to the MTB-X.    I could use a bit higher launch and the left dash filled it.  It's just as firm as the LS and MTB-X but doesn't feel like a rock like 2 piece distance balls.  Also, it holds it's line remarkably well in the wind whereas past ProV1x's had trouble doing so.  Only drawback is of course the price point.

Anybody find a ball comparable to the LD for the colder weather? A few colder mornings here in FL and the LD went absolutely nowhere. Thinking going with the MTB Black on colder days

According to the MGS ball test, depending on your swing speed, the AVX, it can be argued is the softer version of the LD.   If that doesn't work, the standard ProV1 should work. It just depends on your "soft" requirement.

All of the Titleist balls perform pretty much as advertised, but in reality, if your swing speed is slow to mid, you won't see a ton of difference on well-struck shots.  The biggie diff is the amount of greenside spin.  You may also see too much spin in the ProV1x in the wind.

Yes I have seen a similar thing. Part of my issues is really soft fairways so no roll-out.

I have been trying the V1X with decent results. I am getting a bit more carry thanks to the higher spin and getting back a few yards.

Picked up a few boxes to try out. A couple good friends have been gaming them exclusively. They stated the left dash balls have been hard to find due to high demand in Scottsdale.

Funny...I think it feels just like a rock.

Straight ball, great wind ball, plenty long..but I hate that hard rock like feel.

You get used to it after a little time. I played it for one season and now when I play a regular Pro V1 ball it feels like a marshmallow

I like that feel where the ball feels like it sticks to the club and I can feel the compression.

That ball hurt my ears off the driver and felt like a rock off my irons.

I am a bit baffled by the LD ball.  My driver swing speed is tops 100-105 and I normally max out in the 265 range.  I found a LD and put it in play - the thing was a houdini and I played it for a bunch of rounds as it survived some swimming time and hiking in the woods.

The ball is louder sounding and harder, but for me I catch some really long shots off the driver.  As in really long.  I have two drivers that are identical except one is a 10.5º and 9º - set up as 9.5º and 8º, slightly open face.  I did not think I would be a candidate for this ball yet it seems to work for me.  With the 8º driver in the warmer temps it can really get out there and then run as well.

Yesterday we played in the upper 30s and I hit one that really went - it flew 255 in the air and hit some trees about 30' up (trees saved me from going in high stuff).  Things like that happen with that ball and I was wondering if others have had similar experiences.  I can not seem to choose between ProV1, ProV1x and now LD.  They all have good stuff.  I think the regular ProV1 is going to be eliminated, but I like the soft feel and spin on chip shots.

I’m hoping since they show a picture of the Left Dot box on their website along with the others, that maybe it will become commercially available in the future.

Completely similar swing speed and range as you and I have the same experience. Throughout the summer, the left dash was leaving other balls in the dust off the driver face. I played Bridgestone BX, RX, TP5x, and ProV1x at various times trying to find the right ball and the left dash came along and was markedly longer than all of them, 5-10 yards off driver for me.

Winter came and I moved over to the prov1x and regular prov1 but I’ll be going back to left dash next season. I’m currently stocking up.

I tried the LD for the first time today and I am a Bridgestone B X player. Today was rather warm 50-55* and a bit of wind. The LD was great off of everything, long and straight. Unfortunately, I did get a few long irons that just flew my mark and my hybrid did the same on a couple of shots. The ball is great but I may need a touch more spin with long irons and also the flight was a bit too low I felt. If it will spin a bit more in summer off long irons then we may have a winner but as of this moment I will be sticking with the BX for the time being. I will continue to exhaust this dozen LD I bought though and I still have 12 so that is good.

May want to give the '22 version of the Chrome Soft XLS a chance as well. Similar concept to the LD, but a bit more subtle in its spin reduction.

I actually wanted to ask you about the differences between this year and last year's version of CSX LS.  As I recall, you work for Callaway.

Compression softened a tic; cover also softened to improve spin on partial wedge shots. Still different from the X, but not as much as the previous version was.
