Callaway driver, titleist 3w, Adams hybrid, Mizuno driving iron, ping irons and Cleveland wedges.   Who cares what name is on them. If they work, they work.

917D3 or G400 Max for drivers with TEE E8 Beta or TM '16 M2 for fairways. Hit 3/4 woods off the tee 99% of the time, so turf interaction isn't a huge thing for me, but these 2 do the job either way.

SM 3.5 Bag:

Ping G410 9* Plus w/ Tensei Orange Pro 60 TX

TM Sim Ti 14* w/ Kai'Li 80X

Titleist TS3 19* w/ Evenflow T1100 S

Edel VL 4-PW w/ Rifle Flighted 6.5 SSx1

Edel 50/54/58 w/ Rifle 6.0

Piretti Potenza II 365g 34"

I'm a Ping driver guy, but I just don't get along with Ping fairways. And, I've tried. Right now, I`m playing a G400 Max with a Mizuno MP 650 3-wood.

Thanks for all the replies. I feel better about the potential of a titleist driver to compliment my 17 m2 3wood (she's my stenson).

For you weirdos who suggested putting a different brand headcover on another brand's driver or 3wood...what's wrong with you? Lol. I don't think you guys are even human, with your mismatch, dr Seuss like wonkiness!

I don't change clubs too often, but I've changed my driver twice since I put my 3 wood in the bag. For me the 3 wood is a club that is harder to change. I can hit newer 3 woods longer, but I have great control with the current club and can easily shape it how I need. It stays in the bag.... probably until it breaks.

Absolutely zero issues with mixing and matching there, especially with how tough finding the magic 3-wood is. I would guess that most tour players would be mixed and matched to high heaven without contracts.

Ping driver(*)

TM 4 wood

Cobra hybrid

Mizuno irons

Vokey wedges

Ping putter.

And I don't have a headcover on any of it.

I think the reason some people sound testy in this thread is when they see a "matchy matchy" bag, they think that golfer is concerned with things other than scoring and it offends them as a gamer. . .like a guy wants a tour look, or has some odd attachment to brands that outweigh whether it's the best scoring option for him.

(*) recently switched from a g25 to a g400 max, and WOW.

I think my hang up is OCD related. But I'm gonna get over it if ping or titleist give me the best performance.

When I started golf I used to play same brand in driver and fairway woods exclusively. Over the years it came down to what performs for me. My whole bag is setup that way and not brand specific or what is the latest and greatest.
