Won't see any pictures of them for a while. I saw them just while ago. Callaway rep asked no pictures. Embargoed for now. Release date January 15th, I think.

Mine should be on the way, I'll let everyone in on what I find when it arrives. Until then, rest easy with the knowledge that each dogleg successfully cut with the new Mavrik driver will elicit a war cry of "YEE HAW, Jester's dead!!!"

I understand and I am aware. I know there is a pro version coming as well. These still even for a super game improvement iron are pretty ugly.

Agree. Not the rogue was good looking to me but these are ugly and almost cheap looking

They wouldn’t mind as much if the irons weren’t so ugly and cheap looking!

AS a color, orange denotes "cheap."

Burgundy and deep blue are your "rich" colors.

If you are trying to sell a lot of irons to cheap SOB's like me, you go orange.

Accent color looks pretty similar to the yellow/orange used on the low-end/price point Warbird irons from a few years back. They should've left that color in the past....

I always wonder how the settle on things like color. Small things like that can really change how things are perceived.

Fair question. I don't think anything can beat my Apex irons for what I look for - distance, trajectory or feel - they're amazing. But I am open to trying other woods, hybrids and drivers for better forgiveness and length. I had a T 915 driver and 3 wood that were really good for distance but my swing then was not as good as now and I was mishitting them. I tried the M1's and like a fool I believed the simulator numbers when I tested them, sold the 915's before I tested the M's thoroughly on the course. Now I know there is a honeymoon phase for new gear and I wait longer before switching.

I would actually say - More like a traditional shape - not quite as long as the Rouge - Taller face (or seemed to be)

Even if they are sgi irons... man they look awful. I mean looks is a big part of why you buy clubs as well. Its what temps average and below average players into wanting to try blades before we actually hit them lol theyre mostly all beautiful. Its kinda stunning how bad they look. Looks like a model from 2008.

Yep, I saw the pro version. Let's say those irons won't find their way into my bag.

I think the read to an extent and take it with a grain of salt. Everyone likes to nit pick and criticize. Many did not like the green and yellow of the epic flash when it first appeared as well. While I am not the biggest fan of the orange, Callaway knows what they are doing and does do their research. I am sure that they know the target market for these and they will probably will still sell very well. Just as the rogue did.

That’s very fair. Obviously they have a lot of success. At least perceived success to me.

I guess you have to take into consideration that the people on a forum about golf have certain perception and critique about golf products than the general public. I am sure you are correct that it will do well and appeal to the market segment it is targeting.

Last 5 years I have no problem with the product names. The colors however..........ugh. Did all their test marketers grow up in the late 70s? Tired of spending an extra $170 for "custom" black driver.
