Yeah and he can get you any grip and shaft. I have a KBS black one in my one and a regular chrome shaft both with a little bit different iomic grips. May be a few bucks more of course if you end up not having the right shaft or grip

Interesting. What shafts does he offer now? When I bought my G7 a long while back, it came with an Apollo steel shaft that I did not like. It was my fault for not asking about his stock shafts and upgrading to a shaft I wanted, but it was something I hadn’t really thought about when ordering because all of the other steel shafts I’d used were True Temper. I just assumed it would come with a True Temper at the time.

Anything you want he can get you will just pay a little more for it. What was wrong with the Apollo steel shaft??

I have a custom Goodwood that I've put about a dozen rounds on. It is a beautiful putter. It's well made, feels great and performs well.

David had my putter made and delivered in a little over 2 weeks, which was exceptional!

 

I am very pleased!

I love mine too.  Perfect weight and sound for me.  David had a mix up with my order but his great customer service more than made up for it.

My Goodwood Corsa.  Really liked the headshape.  Wanted a raw carbon head with minimal stamping and David delivered. Looks and feels outstanding. The putter hasn’t seen a great deal of action as we have been in lockdown for much of the year, but it’s maiden voyage in the fall was encouraging. Our best days lay ahead of us. 

 

My only regret . . .  I love David’s new oil can logo (see the headcover) and would have added that stamp to the head.  
 

An excuse for a future project : )

did your putter come with the headcover?

 

when I ordered mine David said he was out of headcovers but I could pay $25 (I think) and he’d ship one when they came in. 
 

it wasn’t a big deal but it’s been a long, long time since I’ve bought a new putter that didn’t come with a headcover.

I placed an order recently and a cover was not a throw in, would have been $25 additional. IMO it's no big deal as his putters are some of the cheapest customs around and you can't operate on the lower end with lots of freebies. As noted they're for sale on his site for $25 each, a far cry from what others charge, and a bargain for a magnetic putter cover IMO.

Here is my stainless flow neck G6. It's my third Goodwood and I couldn't be happier with them. David does awsome work and his back and forth communication during the process is superb.

David's stamping, in general, has improved so much since his earliest creation.  Crisp.

Yep. I requested the oil can stamp before he had it. I waited about a month for it to come in to his shop because I wanted it. I think its a vool logo and looks great in the cavity. Here is the face of the putter too. Might as well post that pic.

You definitely get a lot more feedback and to some people much better speed control.

Matt is correct. I switched to a smooth faced putter last year, the GOAT and feel improved immensely as well as speed control, feedback, just everything was better. I rarely use a milled putter anymore! David made me a smooth faced G6 and it feels great too. Most recent addition was Putting engineer also smooth faced. Moving everything to a smooth face honestly

Definitely way more feedback on a smoother or lighter milled face. I got a putter recently with a deep mill and gotta attack the putt more but still very nice. Definitely trying them side by side can see a difference, but whatever people like they should game. 

 

I might plan on going full feedback, like smooth face and sound slot.

Never so figured why not, if I don't like it mill the face to soften it up. But I do want to try a sound slot.

Speed control is the number one thing I notice. I like a smooth face or a VERY shallow mill. Anything else is too soft and I leave putts short or blast them by the hole.

David unfortunately doesn't make them heavy enough for my preference but beautiful putters.

360g +/-5g is my preference, to get that on a putter with a sound slot probably looking at 370g before as you lose about 10g I believe cutting a slot.

David’s new models are really heavy. At least the ones on golfputters.online are. Like up to 380g.
