Any info on the Scotty Cameron Select 2020 line?

I played my first round today with my NP2. I played with a gentleman that just purchased a Teryllium Circle T for $4,000 from the Cameron Studio. It was stunning beautiful, but did not feel nearly as good as my $399 NP2. I was a bit shocked, I thought it would feel like butter.

The acoustics outside on my Newport 2 were fantastic. The impact sound was perfect for me. Clearly a different sound when the sweet spot was hit vs a slight miss. I suppose some would argue this is not desirable, but I found it pleasant and provided me with some good feedback. I've always wanted a Newport 2, but this one is my first. I'm enjoying it. I've played a Nike Method 001 for years. Good putter. My favorite was a Ping Anser3 from 1990. We made a lot of putts together. I suppose they are all similar putters, but the Newport "feel" and acoustics are distinct to me, but then again, I've not had a SC Newport before.

Going to order a Newport 2 but customize it with 2 +5g heavier weights and a different grip. Trading the last model's squareback that I just don't like. New one feels much better and solid and sounds better.

Anyone know if you are able to custom order one with a Baby T grip? Or is that only available if you sent it in to the Custom Shop?

Got my custom order in set to my specs with pistolini. Really close to my gamer 009M. Gamer has slightly shorter blade length and higher face. Def going in backup bag and will probably have custom shop refinish to black over the winter.

My NP2 was delivered today so I am working on my paintfill as we speak. I couldn't wait to get that red off of there...I've been thinking about this for weeks! Yes, I have issues. Anyway, I decided to try and "overfill" the bombs to make them look like the older style. I think it looks pretty cool! Best part is if I end up not liking it, just clean it out and start again.

Here it is after drying over night...I think it looks pretty cool! I used translucent blue, so it looks darker on the outside of the ring.

That looks really good! I’d be interested in doing something similar with a lighter shade of blue. what type of paint did you use and did you apply any kind of finisher to protect it from chipping/ flaking?

I'm wondering the same as tte720. I got fit into a Squareback which should be delivered soon. I'd like to change out the paintfill as well. Looking for the best paint to use.

Tamiya "clear blue" is what I used. I usually don't put any kind of top coat or anything on it...in my experience when it's in the cavity like that it isn't really exposed to anything so it shouldn't chip. I've done a few older selects and have never had an issue with the paint coming out of the bombs like that.

34" Sqaureback 2 is 357g ? I played mine yesterday and it felt so light compared to my Bettinardi QB8 which is only 355g.

distance control was so damn hard.

Which grip do you have on both? A heavy grip will make the head feel lighter.

Also, I've found I'm most sensitive to overall putter weight, rather than just the headweight. I usually find that when I like a putter its total weight ends up being around 530 grams, and the headweights can be different but I sill like the feel.

Yeah, I removed it but I haven't repainted it yet. I haven't really decided what I want to do yet. Apparently the cap was loose on my white paint so I need to grab some more before I can finish the sole.
