Any info on the Scotty Cameron Select 2020 line?

I have, but that's the reason I like this putter. I've tried the other models over the last 6 or 7 years, and just didn't like them. I wasn't getting the feel, and would knock them 10' by half the time. With this new one, it feels more like the older models to me. I get the click, and I know if I've hit a good putt right away. My distance control has been great with it so far. I've only had it 2 weeks now, but I'm really enjoying it. I played 72 holes with it last week, and rolled in 19 birdies with it. Allot of them were from a few feet off the green, and over 10'. I think this is the best release in a while for Scotty.

I picked up a Newport 2 today. I'm returning it immediately.

I love the head shape but as others have noted, the corners of the bumpers look like they have been gnawed on by a rat. Very poor execution by Scotty. Amateur hour.

Unlike most people, I have the tools to buff the corners and reblast the head but F that. I should not have to refinish a brand new $400 putter. I am profoundly disappointed in Scotty Cameron.

Bummer you didn't like it. I know some preferred the mill marks around the corners while others want it clean. At least there is a variety of options out there to try and accommodate everyone. It just makes it real hard right now with the virus to get exactly what you want.

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Whats your thoughts on the new placement of the plumbers necks. Noticeable difference or just a unnoticeable change made to create buzz.

I game a 2012 NP2 select Black Mist. Looking for an upgrade / addition to collection now that inserts are gone. IMO insets feel good on past models just doesn't have the good look of a plain milled face.

So As I’ve posted in the past I actually picked up a plain Newport which I thought I was getting the number two but I’m happy with the plain Newport and I’m not sure what you’re referring to so here’s some pictures of mine. myself I don’t see anything strange but please pointed out if you see something

That's what I was asking- I've seen the poor milling on the Newport 2 that others have posted, has anyone seen it on the Newport? I'd be ordering a Newport and don't want the rat gnawed look.

All I know is I have not putted with a blade putter for probably 10 years or more and I’ve never used the small standard grip that comes on a putter, I’ve always gone to the flatso 1.0 or 2.0 and when I picked up the 34 inch Newport right out of the gate no more than 31 or 32 Putts a round anymore. I’m very happy, I love the way it lines up, seems very accurate and if it does come up a little short I prefer that because a lot of the greens I play on are very fast, and rather have it stop near the hole and not run off the green or I’ve got a foot or two left uphill

I have a newport. It has some decent looking bumper corners. It looks like it needs to have one more finishing step to remove the cnc marks. It looks just OK, but could be better. My previous newports seem to have a smoother finish...

The tour models leave the milling on them. So your Newport is closer to the tour one :-)

I wondered this as well and I called Cameron today. Squareback 2 empty weights is 225 grams. So the 35" inch model with the 10g weights is 245 grams. I personally want to get to 350g, so I'm thinking i'll just go heavy with the 15g weights rather than keep it a tad light. 355g aint that bad.

7545182f-f454-483c-9748-05414a9a4b52.jpegGuys, it seems to me the visible milling is not an oversight or poor quality control, it’s a choice they made. I have the NP2 and there is visible milling throughout the putter head (not just the corners). There is also an incredible level of attention to detail. I love all the little beveled edges everywhere you look. I think it’s a bit unrealistic to argue that it’s a quality control issue. But the main thing is how balanced and sweet these putters feel. Best I’ve ever putted with.

Some look way more "milled" (i.e. "jacked up") than others, and some of the bad looking ones posted in this thread shouldn't have been let out of the factory. I see that as a QA/QC issue.
