Any info on the Scotty Cameron Select 2020 line?

I have tried every SuperStroke/oversize grip and have decided to go back to a thinner rubber grip. So I pulled the black Studio Design grip off another putter and I really like it so far. Some of my best putting was over 10 years ago with the same grip in red, so I hope to recreate that. So far, so good after 4 rounds with my '20 NP2

The shop with the grip I'm looking at and the grip I have now and this is somebody who I trust all my equipment with assures me the flatso grip I’m looking at is maybe 2 g difference than the stock so should be fine.

thats a heavy flatso grip then, cause the pistolini plus weighs a lot (80gms heavy)

I really like the new grip. Not too thin and not too thick. reminds me of the Superstroke Pistol GTR Tour

Well I had it put on today and I absolutely cannot tell the difference the only difference is the grip is more secure and the 5 foot distance was much more manageable and I was still able to lag it very well so I’m not complaining

I actually pulled off the stock grip and put on a mid size scotty cameron grip like the one below. These wynn grips feel much better than the Super strokes IMO.

Happy to report that the new super strobe on my Newport Select still produced 31 strokes but it was from distances I normally was missing. Not sure if anybody else has experienced this since you’re allowed to leave the flagstick in, I think I miss more putts because I try to slide the ball in on the side instead of trying to hit the flagstick! our club puts these foam rubber things in the cup Styrofoam I guess rather, since this virus and when I hit it straight at stick I’ve had it bounce out off the stick so I think if I could putt with the flagstick out I’d probably lower those strokes but it almost seems like you’re a pain in the butt in a group that loves it in trying to play faster in heat. And you can’t really say go on guys I’ll catch up with you LOL.

bought scotty newport 34” , hate to admit but it might have actually bumped the betti bb8 ?

only thing I’m really displeased about the 2020 cameron is the finish , IMOP has a bit too much glare , anyone refinish it yet?

I reshafted my Del Mar.  There is a lot of room under the weights. 

 

The head weight is 326.7 grams with no weights.

Switched out the shaft and grip in my 1/500 Newport

YSC shaft and baby t grip

I like lighter head weight and smaller, 50 gram grips, though.
