Well I have to say this putter look like an alien hardware piece, huge, bulky, looks like a big bottle opener...or a spacecraft 

 

BUT IT WORKS!

 

I was having a nightmare with my putting changing my stroke this and that having horrible round, countless 3 puts. So since it couldn't be my fault I blamed the putter of course and went for fitting at CoolClubs in San Francisco; 

 

Got fitted by Clare, tried different head, hosels this and that and Clare pulled this piece of heavy artillery a BF2.1, she said : WELL this is an interesting concept you should try it. If I had just went by the typical golfer fitting attitude AKA : Buy what you like not what works, I would have left the fitting with yet another Scotty...BUT this time I decided to listen and I tried that thing. 

 

OH BOY it was amazing, my stroke felt so stable, I was dead aiming, the roll was great. I bought one and its been 3 weeks and it saved me countless stokes and increase dramatically my confidence on the greens.

 

Fantastic tool. I love it.

 

I am considering if I should change the shaft to some graphite shaft or stability shaft but not sure what I would gain / loose from that ? Any thoughts / recommendation?

Looking to purchase the standard head cover, why is shipping almost double the price of the head cover?

If you win that contest that i am thinking of, i think you can just pay to upgrade the shaft.

 

Send me the factory second and i will reshaft it for you 🙂. I have done it even though i was specifically told my someone at LAB (not Sam) that its not recommended.

Are you having the head cover shipped out of the US?  My headcover shipped free.

We can try but not recommended and no warranty if we do it. Depending on the specific period your putter was made, It might not be possible at all

I have pulled a shaft twice from an interference fit DF 2.1. I also do not recommend it lol.

I just submitted a remote fitting today and it came back 79.5 degrees for a broomstick. Has anyone ordered a broomstick with the BGT upgrade? Is it really worth it?

I have not ordered a broomstick, but just from the sheer length involved, that will be where the most benefit could be derived from going with an upgraded shaft.  Also, you'll never have any lingering doubt rattling around in your brain, and saying to yourself, "What If?". 

 

That putter will be damn expensive.  And worth EVERY penny !

Got my DF2.1 out on the course for the first time this weekend on a trip to Tucson. Greens have been really bad so it’s tough to tell, but I’ve been getting ball position and alignment issues worked out. I’ve made a few nice longer putts and have felt solid over shorter putts. I looked up the YouTube video on ball position after the first day and that helped, but ummmm, I also stumbled across the “one ball, two balls” video and drills. What?!?🤯 I must have missed the discussion of those in the now-50 pages of this thread ‘cuz I know y’all must have talked about it because it’s AMAZING! Shows you the proper rhythm, tempo, lie angle, path, pretty much everything. I thought the back part of the putter head was just a cool shape, but if you all tell me it was designed that way in order to be able to do the “one ball, two ball” drills (which I’m guessing it was, it would be just too much of a freak happenstance for that to be a happy mistake), then my mind is really going to be blown by this putter way more than it already was.

I couldn’t take it. Had to record. First ball is a TaylorMade Lethal, second ball is a TaylorMade TPX.  Last ball is a TaylorMade a-project.  About a 6 & a half footer on turf, outdoors. Listen to the cup rattle with each make 👍🏼

I've been emailing L.A.B. Golf to get my order figured out. Now I'm not sure what to do...

 

I'm getting a long putter with all the bells and whistles. However, what head weight do I get? I do like a heavier head, so is 450g enough? 500g too much? I have no idea what weight to get for a long putter as I haven't a clue what my old STX Sync 3 weighs (haven't been able to find it online since it's so old). I found some specs online for an Odyssey Broomstick that weighs 450g, so perhaps that would be a good weight to go with?

I am pissed. It took my putter 5 days from Eugene, OR to Vienna Austria.

It is awaiting Customs clearance for 6 days now...

 

Never thought it would take longer to bill me my taxes and import fees than to send a putter halfway across the globe.

 

edit: just revisited and saw that my post sounds quite aggressive. None of the delay is LAB Golfs fault (I think). They were uber-quick as I ordered on March 4th with estimated 3-5 weeks for building and it shipped after 14 days. I just dont get what the heck takes so long at Customs authority here in Austria. Usually the reacht out to the buyer for a bill or something like that within a couple of days so they can calculate the taxes.

Looks like I might be going away from the L.a.b. for now. Exputt analysis shows I'm exponentially better with my Nike Method Origin, specifically distance control. Not gonna give up practicing with the DF though. We'll see what happens.

How long have you used the DF? Have you learned the mechanics of a zero torque stroke (or perhaps un-learned the old mechanics)? It sounds like people who’ve struggled are having a technique issue, not putter issue.

Yesterday afternoon's GC coverage showed him putting a couple of times.  That's where I saw what he was using.  Unmistakable silhouette of the putter head and Stadler as well.  LOL!
