I have an ER2 with no sight lines and no top line dimples that I got from eBay. It was listed as a made for tour model but wasn’t priced at a premium at all. So they actually exist! Maybe keep an eye

I got an email response back from evnroll. The outback will be launched november 1 exclusively at golf galaxy and pga tour superstores, and then in 2020 on their website and other retailers.

When testing putters, people actually aligned the face more accurately without sight lines. Manufacturers won’t produce putters without them since consumers think they need them.

I really hope the Outback model gets released. I loved it from the pictures that were dropped

Just take sight lines off of a few models.... that goes for Scotty Cameron and the rest of them too. Hard to find a retail putter that doesn't have sight lines these days.

I think this has been discussed a few times but this will probably never happen. The vast majority of consumers prefer sight lines (or are at least under the impression they help) and thus manufacturers will typically only produce what sells best.

I went to Golf Galaxy today to test out the new ER10 Outback. Absolutely loved it. I was a huge fan of the way the shaft enters the head. Provides a super clear view of the ball and it seemed to make the putter very easy to swing.

If anyone is a Golf Galaxy or PGA Superstore employee, I would happily throw some $ your way if you would be willing to use an employee discount for me.

$450 after taxes is just too steep for me.

Unfortunately it was very difficult to tell. There was some pretty think plastic shrink wrap on all the heads that definitely made it muted

Take a shot and go for it. Great rollers. I just can’t stand the shine and chrome. They have a small selection at my local shot and I never see any move or sell but always recommend people try them

The main reason I like my blank ER2 is it gives me a more relaxed stroke. Sometimes with sight lines I get too intent on hitting the ball on the center line or guiding it back. When your putter is blank you have a more free stroke. Nothing to distract you.

Sometimes it’s also easier to just align the face perpendicularly to where you want to aim. If you use a line on the ball it’s very easy to line that up perpendicularly too.

I still think the main reason the Spider Tour originally took off was that it was blank. The slant neck and MOI get all the credit but I think the lack of alignment lines on the first Tour helped a lot of people more than they realized.

Will do, I have the fitting booked for mid-December. They have two fitting options, using a standard roll board, or also adding on the Quintic fitting. I am choosing adding the Quintic.

This ^^ 100%. Most people actually align the putter better with the face (perpendicular to the hole). This is was the initial idea the entire Odyssey Versa line.

Was the same found to be true with sight dots? I don't quite get as tense as with sight lines but I still get a sense of a reference point.

This is a good question. Since people don’t use the dots for aiming, I don’t imagine they affect the face alignment. In my fitting I was striking putts consistently in the center with Evnroll vs my gamer. I would attribute that to the 2 dots — they seemed to make it easier to line the ball up in the center of the putter.
