I'm not exactly sure, but it's either 43.25" or 43.5".   As for why... had been playing 44" to 44.5" for a great many years, having figured out longer than that doesn't work. Then had a fitting a fe

I kind of want to try hitting a 46-47” driver on course. On the range, I definitely hit it straighter and it takes out the left side!

Currently 45" but could easily go 44.5" or even 44" with a heavier shaft. Thinking of sending mine to Callaway to get a reshaft to do just that...

Still gaming the Gen 1. I have been tempted to go to the Gen 2, I am just worried I may lose the accuracy I have seen with the Gen 1. My negative angle of attack is a big issue when trying out drivers. Some drivers seem to really penalize me more than others.

45", but have messing with a shaft at 44.75". Seems to be working better.

Recently swapped shafts in my Ping G400 LST, had a Rogue Silver 60X @ 45 and installed a Xtorsion Black 60 TX @ 45,5 just to give it a try. The drivers feels head heavier, i mean a lot heavier, if i butt cut it an inch or even half will the club feel lighter ? I know the swingweight will change, i just want the club to feel a little lighter.

> 44”

> Played with a properly weighted 42 1/2” driver the other day and slammed it 5 outta 6 holes. Turbo hook always finds me no matter what. With shorter drivers I find the center more often and that gives me the freedom to unleash as hard as possible. It’s a different plane.

To add to that, the only issue was being unfamiliar with setup to such a short stick. The turbo hook came from setting up too far from the ball and flipping it.

9 year old 910 d3 9.5 w hot melt and an ad di 8x was in the same spots as my gazillion dollar fitted driver. Hmmmm.

45 M3 with 49 gram house of forged reg flex D3. Swing speed average of 109. Played around for couple of years with different lenths and shafts. 44 inch was a hook monster. Always played stiff shafts and struggled with bad misses to the right. Put in the reg flex and straightend everything out. Current shaft I can really go at it and not have to worry about the big miss.

Current gamer is a TM Burner TP 8.5° w/Aldila Rogue 60X at 46.0” for now, I was playing the same head at 45.5” for the last several years without any issues and figured the extra ½ inch was fine. However, that being said, I have an Aeroburner that came stock at 46.5” and for whatever reason, I cannot control whatsoever. Will need to cut it down at some point.

Grew up with steel at 43.0” (much smaller heads back then) and then graphite for many years at 44.0” actually. Think my TM R510 TP was the first big jump to 45.0” about 15 years ago and I haven’t looked back since. Given the full size 460cc heads nowadays, the longer shaft just seems about right for balance. Toyed with the idea of going back down to 44.75” or thereabouts for control, but haven’t seen much difference with the 46” that I am currently playing.
