Titleist Linksmaster Members Bag- In Hand Pics

Recommended Posts

My local store (Roger Dunn in Santa Ana) carries these bags.  3 weeks ago they had 4 Linksmaster caddie bags.  Black, navy, white and grey. I thought about picking one up but passed because the caddie bag doesn’t have both straps, just the single one.  I went back 2 days later and they were all gone.  Last week they got 2 Members bags in and I pounced on the slate.  I used it for the first time Sunday at Rams Hill (riding a cart) and I like it a lot.

It is a bit on the tight side for space.  The water bottle pocket is useless with anything in the outer pocket and the apparel pocket, the bags biggest pocket, is more on the slim side.  But I get it, it’s a trim slim and fun bag meant for the essentials and that’s it. I’m coming from a Ping Hoofer I’ve had for 13+ years.  I like the single strap and it carries very well. To me, it feels lighter with all my stuff vs the Hoofer.  I don’t plan on using the dual straps but it’s nice to have the option.  I think the bag is very well made and love to totally clean, logo-less look.  I’ll try to post pics tonight when I get home from work.  If I remember :)...

Played @ ELGC and found their last one in stock. Upgraded from Stitch SL1. Going to try it out this weekend and see how it works but so far, it looks great and great built quality.

Played two rounds with it. Here’s my initial impression.

Pros: Great build quality. Leather feels nice and soft. Logoless is awesome.

Cons:

Water pocket is useless. Likely designed for a flask. Not sure what bottle size you can actually fit in there. Ended up keeping it in the front pocket with balls.

Left shoulder strap tangles a lot and often find myself with inside ‘out’. Not sure of easy fix.

When carrying, back support could use more cushion. I can literally feel all my clubs which is annoying.

Coming from SM 2.5+ and Stitch SL1, this bag is on a heavy side.

Honestly, it’s a nice bag but for a walker, I’ve seen better. Time will tell how it holds up but so far I’m enjoying it.

Just picked one up, club logo. Came with both straps. Slate color. Definitely heavier than my 2.5, which has been sun bleached and worn. It’s pretty sick tho

Do all colors have several month waits? Or are some colors more backed up than others. Want a Slate, Light Grey, or Burgundy members bag.

My club has the light grey with some blue ribbon detailing, it was sick. If i didn’t have two sets of head overs to consider, this one was sick. The green is nice too, but kinda plain.

I saw the same one on Saturday. Looked amazing and was contemplating buying and my buddy grabbed it right from under me. But we worked a deal for his 3 round old all black linksmaster.

I don’t know the weight but have carried them a decent amount. To me they don’t feel overly heavy from a weight standpoint. I don’t think anyone would call them light either. However, they don’t seem very well balanced to me. I’ve never carried one that was comfortable.

Caddie opinion. With a full set of clubs... Ping and Sun Mountain then a large step down to everything else.

What are your thoughts on titleist stadry?  If you are using the dual straps to carry as designed displacing load

Wasn't really a fan of the dual color bags until seeing a navy/white in our pro shop tonight.  It's a great looking bag that the pictures don't do justice.  Almost took the plunge right then.

May talk myself into it over the next few days.  Would love to have one, but don't walk enough due to time and the bag would just end up on the cart 90% of the time.

Anyone have any cleaning recommendations it appears some of the green may be rubbing off on the white parts of the bag. I tried soap and water and a mild cleaner.

Unfortunately sweat and natural oils from your body is causing friction on the two leathers and it will rub on your body then off to the green and the dye will leech into the white. Some cleanjng may lighten it some but it's not going to ever come out.

Thanks for all of the tips I was able to get most of the stain out I didn’t want to go too crazy and cause more damage than the actual stain.  It is a bag at the end of the day and won’t stay perfect.  I was just surprised to see that happen after one round.

My best advice is get high quality automotive leather cleaner and protection For future use. They will soak into the leather and give added protection. Just use a rag for the white and rag for the green so you dont risk green transfer again from cleaners and protectant picking up excess dyes during the process.

Just got this bag, and am really happy with it.  I had a Stitch SL1, which was a very good bag for me, but just a touch small, both in opening and pockets.  This seems like a well made bag, and I was concerned about club tangle, but put my set in at the pro shop, and left with the bag thinking it would work fine.  I would not recommend to somebody looking for a large top opening, but for somebody looking for a high quality bag that improves a little on the Stitch bags, this is a definite take.

I had a member’s bag and returned it after 3 rounds. The double strap has the crappy plastic cross strap that their other bags had in 2019. The strap comes apart from the plastic piece and doesn’t sit well carrying. Replaced with a Stitch SL2.  Very happy with the Stitch.

I paid $360 plus tax for mine. On the high side but for quality, it’s worth it to me. Also love that member bag comes with (2) straps option. double and single. I too have Stitch SL1 bag and sometimes single strap is easier to carry because load/unload is faster/easier. Bag is on the heavy side for me but overall good balance and it looks VERY good. Other than ‘tiny’ water bottle section, overall I’m enjoying this bag. Unfortunately I’m seeing some zipper layer coming loose so will reach out to Titleist and see what they’re willing to do. If you get an opportunity to purchase and you’re ok with its price tag, I’d recommend it.
