JBL Clip 3 is a great little speaker, most of the guys I play with have one (including me). Sound breaks up if you really try to push it but otherwise its very solid. Yep, it's the caddy bag...it looks "cleaner" to me. All 14 fit easy...tangle is better than my vessel and my hoofer. No soft valuables pocket, but I either put my stuff in a small valuables pouch anyways, or if I have my laser hanging off the bag I just stick my stiff in the rangefinder pocket which is soft.

Curious, which Vessel bag do you have? I am considering the Lite, know some came without full length dividers.

I have the 1.0 6 way top in white/blk. Good bag, but I may have used it once on course. Otherwise it just holds a few shafts and putters. The Linksmaster is my favorite bag ever...so far.

Is the opening on the top the same size as the members?

Any chance that you know if you can add a double strap to the bag?

I know it doesn’t come with it, but I’m curious.

Was hoping to get an idea of the dimensions of the bag. Would anyone be able to tell me the measurements of the top of the bag?

Opening is the same size as the member’s bag. I don’t think you can add a double strap. The members bag has has two D rings above the ball pocket for the double strap whereas the caddy bag has a bet like system. I personally like carrying with one strap. I alternate shoulders every few holes and there’s a little area for tour off hand (arm you’re not carrying with) to grab just under the ball pocket that makes it feel super light.

At its widest I measured 7.25” side to side. Here’s my setup so you can see how it all fits. Plenty of room.

Are the double straps pretty easy to use? I had a Jones bag that had two single straps that made a double, but they constantly got twisted and weren’t nearly as easy to use at my Sun Mountain.

Yes very easy to use and take off/put on and adjust. The bag is not the lightest for carrying but I walked Bethpage Black in high summer with a full bag with no issues.

No, it’s a super stroke tube that golf galaxy was giving away 5 years ago or so. I use it to keep my putter grips from being destroyed.

 

 

Just got one of these from my local GG too. Great thing to have, but it doesn't' fit inside my Jones Original Stand (currently using the straps). I'm hoping it will fit in the 2021 Titleist P4 StaDry. Really helps with club tangle while playing.

Here are a few notes since I only loaded it up before life got in the way:

1. I use NDMC Midsize grips with 4-6 wraps. Club tangle is not going to be a big deal. I have it loaded with driver/4 wood and putter in a super stroke putter tube on the top, 3 iron to 9 iron in the middle and PW/GW/SW/LW on the bottom.

2. The water bottle sleeve is a tight fit for a 24oz hydro flask

3. Ball pocket is small but big enough for the balls you need for 18. If you need more than what fits, buy more at the turn or invest in some lessons.

4. Every other pocket is useful and deliberate. No excess BS.

5. There are 2 straps that come with it- a single and a double. If you can’t change the straps out with the four clips in less than 10 seconds, there’s a problem.

6. The bag carries lighter than it is, hard to explain but it feels like my original hoofer, feels lighter than it really is.

7. Matching rain hood is slick.

8. This bag is awesome, can’t wait until next spring to really use it. Until then, the Taylormade Flextech is still my go to for winter practice and sloppy rounds. I see going back to the Flextech when it’s less than perfect to keep the Linksmaster clean.

Would you say the overall size is along the P4 or P4+ size? Really looking into purchasing one of the custom "blank" bags from Titleist, which looking at pics has a very similar design to it with out the $$$$ tag.

If you get it though your club you should be able to get a discount. I paid $265 for mine.

I would say more towards the P4+ size for the opening. I don’t have a P4/P4+ on hand to compare overall but feel it’s easier to get clubs in/out than my previous P4.

Just got my linksmaster member bag in “cool white”. I had not seen one in person and was surprised how soft the fabric feels. I play with the 4 plus and was concerned about size. I’m pretty minimal on what gear I keep in the bag so no real concern there. We will have to play with it a bit to be able to give feedback on the club fit. Also need to contact my club to get a pocket embroidered.

how is that clip on speaker?

Clip is good but speaker is terrible. Won't hold a charge anymore and before that wouldn't last an entire round.

Yep...I brushed up against a wet wooden fence that left a huge dark mark on the bag. Wiped off with a wet paper towel and looked like new.

Any big guys using this bag? I'm 6'1/280 and curious about strap fit since it is pretty hard to find too much information out there about these. I'm currently using a Stitch SL1 and its fine but would like a second strap for carry days and there are too many negative reviews about the Stitch SL2. My club offers Stitch and Titleist bags so seems like the Linksmaster may be the ticket

Has anyone figured out a way to set up the straps (single or double) where the top of bag is not tilting downwards?  It’s a challenge to carry without the clubs wants to fall out of the top of the bag.

Just picked mine up today. Sadly it will be a bit before I can use it. Will load it up tonight, but it seems good so far.

I carry a 1 liter water bottle, that must be good enough to be a counterweight.  Aside from the water I typically have 8-10 balls and a few tees in the chute, Maui Jim sunglasses case clipped in the apparel pocket, my laser pouch/tag/towel are clipped to the ring.  I don’t carry much and the bag balances well in the rare case that I use 2 straps.

I got my bag a couple of weeks back but haven't had an issue with tilting either. I went with the Navy and am very pleased.
