V55 Rib was my all-time favorite grip. It's been very difficult to find something I like to replace it recently. I bought a case shortly after they discontinued them and they lasted me until about 3 years ago. Went to the Lamkin REL Ace 3Gen Black with the 'create your own' rib from GolfWorks, but then that was discontinued! Recently landed on the Lamkin Sonar Tours, again with the 'create your own' rib from GolfWorks. I'd definitely take a look at switching back if they returned with a V55!

Not 100% sure what pricing will be. Tour Velvet Cord is already like $10/$11 on the site so will likely be in that range.

Plain old tour velvet ribbed for 5 years straight now... Don't need anything fancy when what they have works! I'd entertain the victory ribbed grips if those came back out!

I would need 6 wraps of tape to make that even remotely close to feeling like a midsize and it stretches out the grip and feels totally different. Tried it with several types of grips using just 4 wraps and it still hardens the grip out too much. GP themselves even said more than like 2 wraps of tape is not good under a grip. Don't understand how some of these color schemes in MCC would sell more than a midsize full cord.

So just my thoughts. The Cords already push 55 grams for the .580 versions. Your probably going to end up with a 67-68 gram grip on a mid size version. That’s 2 heavy. If you put a .580 cord grip on a .600 butt or above, you are already at +1/32. That’s with 1 wrap of tape. So 3 wraps total is midsize and around 59 grams total with tape instead of 65-68 before tape. I think logistically this would make more sense from a Swing Weight build standpoint.

Just order the TV Midsize from Ping. I'm not sure why they don't offer them at retail because you can get them from Ping and there are guys on tour using them so they obviously have the tooling to make them and that leads me to believe there just isn't enough demand for them. I personally play TV Cords and have for years but I can tell you that with all the other options that people who like that texture grip I'm not putting on many TV cords anymore. The overwhelming amount of players who play larger grips play Plus 4s.
