Hey Hawk! Absolutely. There are two courses there at Fort Ord. Bayonet and Blackhorse. I prefer Bayonet but Blackhorse is a good track as well. Can’t really go wrong with either.

From September this year, the wife and I visited a course I hadn't played in nearly 20 years. Last time I was here was with my Dad when he scored his one adn only ace. Wife decided to record both shots "just in case" sadly neither of use got the ace but she was close enough to hole her birdie putt.

Haha, looks like I was probably a little tired and doing some "lifting" - hit high pull cut, but ended up in the fairway!

 

Pebble is on my bucket list - still hoping to get a walk on time this summer after last summer's trip got cancelled - was on Google Earth this afternoon drawing lines all over the course!

Here is a buddy and myself out at Torrey Pines (North Couse back in Mar 2020 - 15th hole - Im on the left).... Man what a great day.

Interesting to see the larger versions of people's avatars.

Here's one of me many years ago putting for a birdie on the 18th at Troon. I think I was about an 11 or 12 handicap at the time, and although I made a right pig's ear of the Postage Stamp, I was really pleased to finish with par-par-par (yes, I missed the birdie putt; I generally do). This wasn't long after Mark Calcavecchia's playoff victory there over Greg Norman and Wayne Grady in The Open.

I don't think those kecks would fit me now.

This is not a recent picture, in fact it was taken in late January 1990 when I was 24.  This was hole #1 at Arcadian Shores in Myrtle Beach, SC.  I kind of chunked a 3 wood  ....  oops.  I don't have anything recent so this will have to suffice for the moment.  🙂

Setting sun at Woodley Lakes, Los Angeles. Hole 14th, dogleg righ. Hitting a high draw around right palm tree. This is a FUN hole with the driver - it's literary "Vince Aut Morire"

That hole has to be more intimidating for the left-hander. At least the right-hander will have his back to the trouble when teeing off.

It was about 150 or so, downhill. I remember hitting 9 iron to the right fringe. Big slinging hook, which is typical for me haha!

So you're pretty starting it out towards the trouble on the left🙀?

 

I've hit shots like that (a snap hook big slinging hook is also my speciality). Great when the ball comes back. Not so great when I leave it out there...
