The Hoofer Lite and 4 Series have always weighed 5 lbs, but were advertised as 4.5 lbs. Maybe they're just being honest now.

I believe the prior generations of these bags did not include the strap in the weight listed, however if what I am being told is correct the 2020 weights include the straps in the weight listed.

Does anyone know if you can order a hoofer lite or something similar in camo? I hate how they only offer that to colleges or offer a couple random college bags that have them. Im tempted to just get the texas one for the orange camo and start pretending I went there

Yea they have those now still, no lite and no good camo. All the college teams get cool colors yet they dont bring any of that to consumer, seems like poor marketing, why showcase things people cant buy, that doesnt make me want to buy the plan jane stuff

Those are custom orders, usually in the schools colors. You can do the same thing but it's like a 3 bag minimum order and takes a few months of waiting.

No they dont let you order the camo at all, those are exclusive to those colleges, trust me I tried, I would have ordered 3

Hoofer 14 would've been my main interest, and although I do like the magnetic rangefinder pocket (or tee pocket in my case since I don't use a rangefinder lol) it looks like once again there are no full length dividers.

I last saw it in October and only for a few minutes, so recollections a little fuzzy, but I had no issues with the material or construction at the time. Liked because it was a little larger than my small Titleist carry bag which gets a little crowded since I went to Midsize grips.

Seems like it. The catalog states "velour lined single strap" and the picture only shows one strap.

I've always preferred the Hoofer Lite/4 Series to the Hoofer. I don't need the extra pockets the Hoofer has, nor the 5 dividers vs. 4. However, it does seem kind of weird that they make both when they're so similar. The weight difference is even less than 0.5 lbs when I measured the 4 Series vs Hoofer (2017 models).

Hoofer is their iconic stand bag from way back, is a bit more substantial than the hoofer lite. It is a pretty much full size stand bag and they will never get rid of it for good reason. Hoofer lite is just slimmed down version that takes up less room and many people end up just choosing this one since it’s more convenient and accomplishes their needs including colleges. Ping doesn’t care that much about the weight differences vs bulk and storage and they have always been concerned about durability over weight savings

I wished they had a Hoofer 5 with the black/white/scarlet color scheme of the Hoofer Lite. I have a TM Flex Tech Lite currently and make just get the Hoofer Lite for the color scheme.

Looks like the 2020 Hoofer Lite in Tropic is on their website. It's the only 2020 bag I see on their site for now.

Yeah. Yesterday, they sent an email promoting a bunch of floral stuff while the PGA Tour is in Hawaii. As well as the Hoofer Lite, they are also selling some headwear & shirts. I don't think that I'd look a this as a sign that the 2020 bags are about to be released as much as them realizing that if they want to sell a bag with this promotion, it needs to be the new model, regardless of when the others get released.

The release for bags has been mid February for a few years now. Looks like they released the tropic one since it’s the Hawaii stops now. I was actually thinking of that tropic bag or the crazy lite but want to actually see them in person first. Can’t just pull the trigger on the floral one without seeing my options in person, it’s too of an in your face design to just order.

the crazylite, I know is different but i can’t really tell the difference in 2020 Hoofer lite and 2019 Hoofer except for the Ping logo.

I wish the rest of the Hoofer lite had the same logo placement as the tropic one.

I has a similar problem using a titleist bag on my trolley (also sun mountain) - Ping seem to make their bags a big longer and I’ve never had an issue.
