Most Odyssey putters are not milled, correct? I think when people think of milled putters, they think of Scotty's mostly. I believe only Odyssey Milled Collection (which they don't make any longer since they acquired Toulon) is the only milled Odyssey putters and they were also quite expensive at retail.

i certainly thought of sc putters when thinking milled, and also the most well known name of a quality putter. Kirkland golf balls are compared to Titleist which unless I’m mistaken, sc owned by Titleist? Or at least has some sort of affiliation right? So my thought process took me to sc comparing the ks1.

i get what your saying though. But it’s like comparing, based on price point: pinnacles vs. ksigs

I think it’s fair to suspect that ANY Kirkland golf product has been “inspired” by a Titleist product.

Definitely think Costco did a great job with this putter. People on the putting green were going crazy when I pulled it out of the bag, too funny. I have a lot of cool vintage putters and nothing got the reaction like this Kirkland putter. I’m glad I bought it for my collection.

I was told today from a Costco rep that weight kits may not be restocked and they are completely sold out. Ebay may be your best bet now.

Yeah, who knows if that info is right or not but wanted to pass it along. I bought the weight kit but I like the stock feel as well.

Same. That’s why I flipped mine. I would have kept one but I didn’t see the need. I’ve been putting on my Birdie Ball green for the past couple of days and this really is a nice putter. Again, I don’t know why I would choose this over the Scotty that I already use BUT if I didn’t have a nice mulled putter the KS1 at $140-150 is a nice option.

Costco probably underestimated the interest in the weight kit. Still wish they would have included it for all the putters.

Does anyone else think the putter is very soft? I think my cast ping i anser (with insert) has a hotter face compared to the milled face of the KSig. I feel like sometimes I’m shocked at how short a KSig roll is compared to a similar roll with my faithful ping. Maybe some of the is related to the SuperStroke vs. the Iomic on my Ping

I was asking about the putters, not the weight kit. Seems the putters are still in stock at some stores, but no more available online. I can wait, hope they get another batch in stock, maybe even in northern CA...

Yeah who knows. I was told some stores were using their stock to fill online orders. I guess that process has stopped?

I used mine for the first time on Saturday. It's not likely going to beat out my gamer, but I never thought it would. I feel like I struggled getting balls to the hole, like I couldn't hit them hard enough. That may have something to do with it being an insert putter as opposed to solid. I'm planning on bagging it on Tuesday for league play to give it another go.

Cosmetically, the shiny cavity graphic/ medallion would reflect in the sun and I saw "Kirkland" on the flange, which didn't bother me but would bother others. Also, the weights got grass stained during my round, and I'm not really sure how. It doesn't effect performance in any way, but I found it weird. As previously stated, the headcover isn't a great fit.  

Overall, it's a solid putter, and if I wanted to dedicate some serious time I could see gaming, but I'll be sticking with my Cameron and will keep this one around for kicks. I'd like to get my hands on a weight kit and play around with different combinations to see if that will change the feel.

So I was at Golf Galaxy killing time today and happened to check out the Tommy Armour 303 Milled Series putters. I was particularly struck by the Trinidad putter - it looks like a dead ringer for the KS1. The illustrations don't really do the actual product much justice, but it looks extremely similar to the KS1 in person. The slightly wider blade style, the milled face insert, the boxy design... other than the weights, it's as close as it gets. I would not be shocked if whoever made this putter is also manufacturing the KS1. Tommy Armour 303 Milled Series Trinidad Putter

I had one in my cart at Costco the other day and it was the first item in my cart. I did the rest of the shopping and wondered if it was worth the price. There were about 20 left and I knew they wouldn't be there next time and they were gone today when I was there. I pondered whether to buy it or not and pulled over into a corner and read a few posts on this thread and put it back. I also thought I'd rather spend a few more bucks and get a Scotty used anyway. They were 129 bucks in the store.

You don't have to like my opinion (clearly you don't) but I think the post is pertinent to the thread. It compares the Costco special to another relatively cheap milled 303 stainless putter that is coming out at the same time. I'm a member of Costco and love their store and I would have been more likely to buy their putter if it looked better--like the Tommy Armour.

 

But let's be honest, neither of these putters have a chance of knocking my tri-sole SSS tour Scotty Cameron Newport 2 putter out of the bag.
