Open face, flat lie, moderately shallow 3/4 wood

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I’ve bought, and sold, a bunch of fairway woods over the last few years. Since this site has already helped me find my dream irons and a hybrid I don’t hook off the planet I’m calling out for help once again ?

So, what’s out there that fits: open face, preferably flat lie, moderately shallow face, medium or larger footprint? Looking to play it at 15-17 degrees.

Don’t mind if it’s a couple of years old.

Thanks!!

I was looking for something similar last year and managed to pick up a Rogue sub zero 16.5

I was going to suggest the LTD 4W as soon as I saw the thread title. I switched to one at the start of the season and it has been great.

Does not got that flat though. .75 of a degree and the same in loft, down .75 degree.

Others out there will get you way flatter and way more open with more loft adjustability

Another very viable option would be the TEE cbx tour 16.5, can also specifically request one from Tour Edge with F (for flat) lie as well if the flatter lie of tour model is not flat enough to suit.

I think the Deep Face M2 2016 is a perfect fit. It has a deep appearance, but the actual face depth isn't that high at all. Depending on the specs you find it it will be plenty flat and open enough for what you're looking for IMO. Only reason I'm trying to get rid of my head is that I'm looking for the same thing in a T3 head!

I'm pretty sure there is a 2017 3HL M1, that's the one.!

MP 650. You have to work and I mean really work to get this club to go left. Just as long as anything I've hit and the shallow face makes it easy off the deck. Great club.

This one seems like a nice, quite unexpected, fit. Also the g410 which I play in hybrid. If there was just a way to get rid of the ugly turbulators...
