The rookie race will start in earnest next week at ISPS Handa Vic Open; at least 14 players are in the field:

Symetra Tour: Patty Tavatanakit, Jillian Hollis, Leona Maguire and Esther Lee

Q-Series: Yealimi Noh, Albane Valenzuela, Jennifer Chang, Yui Kawamoto, Haley Moore, Jiwon Jeon, Maia Schechter, Matilda Castren, Linnea Johansson and Andrea Lee

May be more will qualify on Monday February 3.

You're right, we had IK, So Yeon, Sung Hyun and so forth.

However, they've stood with Minjee since 2015.

Even though they've been spreading their seeds around the globe recently; their center of attention has squarely been on Yealimi Noh.

The weight of the expectation can sink any new starlets; but I've confidence on Yealimi, she's woman enough to shoulder it.

Seven out of fifteen rookies (47%); Haley Moore, Jiwon Jeon, Leona Maguire, Linnea Johansson, Yealimi Noh, Andrea Lee and Matilda Castren made the first cut. They'll earn only 5 ROY points if they miss the second cut Saturday.

The 47% cut rate is slightly higher than the tournament total of 65 out 144 (45%).

Yealimi Noh caught a big break by teeing off early Saturday; she and Leona Maguire are the only two rookies to survive second cut.

With the coronavirus and potential cancellation of many tournaments; Bianca can't just sit and wait for automatic entry opportunities.
Players will seize every playing chances they can get their hands on; that means playing opportunities for priority higher than #155 will be few and far between.
She and her family need to adopt a sense of urgency.

but yes, either way, I'm actually not sure how else Bianca can keep her card other than keep participating in monday qualifiers to have a chance to even play the official tournament.... i know she's playing again this feb 11... and will try to qualify for everything that is possible to qualify... other than that, nothing else one can do i guess...

In the past, playing slots opened up after US Women's Open on June 4; but this year, with Olympics and cancelled tournaments, it will stay busy until end of June at the earliest.

Bianca just has to play the best golf in her life and shoots for Top-2 finish at any chance she has.

Otherwise, it isn't a pleasant thought to count on 2020 Q-School.

A whole bunch of Finns there: Matilda Castren, Noora Komulainen (nee Tamminen), Ursula Wikstrom and Sanna Nuutinen. The three latter are LET players.

Why does the event web site list all the participants (minus two Koreans) under an Australian flag? Also appreciate how some names are all caps, some are capitalised and some are all lower case. Attention to the detail indeed ;)

Going to be a sunny day for them, up to 80F. Wind will be 15-20 mph, possibly gusting up to 40 mph.

Do I get a trophy for using F and mph instead of C and km/h?

Rookies have only two tournaments, Founders Cup and Kia, to finish inside Top-80 Official Money and qualify for ANA Inspiration.

Rookies with priority #154 qualify for Founders and #149 for Kia.

Priority #139, Dana Finkelstein, has qualified for every full field events this season; she's #11 at 2019 Q-Series.

2020 and 2021 will be combined; but the detailed mechanism isn't known at this point.
