Dallas Junior Memberships

Curious if anyone has any insight on current junior membership opportunities in Dallas.

 

I've been down this road the past couple of years without joining (due to exorbitant Dallas membership costs) but 2020 might have to be the year in order to improve. I'm a former college player who plays tournament golf and is looking for the most golf-focused club I can at the best deal.

 

Leaders in the clubhouse are still Dallas Athletic Club, but have heard rumors of deals at Las Colinas CC and Bent Tree. Old American up in the Colony has always been a favorite but the drive from Uptown area would get old. Curious if anyone has recent insight on this topic. Thanks guys

My buddy just joined DAC as a junior member and I think he told me his initiation was about $8k and pays about $500/month + $60/month gratuity. I've been out to play a couple times with him and it's nice that they have 2 courses and seems pretty reasonable to get on, ie not a bunch of members with standing tee times every weekend. The way he explained it to me is that a portal opens 24-48 hours in advance of the weekend and you can go on and lock in a tee time. So far he really seems to like being a member there and I can vouch that they keep the course in good condition.

 

In regards to LCCC, I believe they are doing some renovations out there and so they may have some good deals going on to shore up their membership in case some people left over the course closing for the renovations. If you look into them, you may want to confirm that everything is opened back up and will be available for you to play once you join.
