Tiger is sitting out the morning four-balls session on Saturday which I think is a good move..

1) he needs the rest after 2 straight days..he is no spring chicken anymore..

2) it gives him the chance to do some real captaining and hopefully rally his team to do some catch-up.

3) he WILL play in the afternoon no matter what happens in the morning..

I don't know how much Els has put certain pins out there and said to his guys to hit X shot off the tee but certain things were telling course management mistakes. Specifically whichever American hit driver off the first and left the 40 yarder that couldn't be kept on the green and all the American drives up the left of the 11th. Time and time again the Internationals had the forgiving angle from the left to go straight up the backstop with plenty of margin for error and the Americans were attacking it side on and might have had one of 5 attempts from inside 40 yards within 12'

I think it has more to do with the fact that most American players are not as used to this style of golf.

Woods has looked very impressive since Japan but not sure Woods will play many more team events as it's unlikely he'll be playing enough event to qualify. Spieth is only 26 I can definitely see that team being re-united.

it's a thinking man's courses..a poor man's course in the sense that like many links courses they are low maintenance. Ernie chose well. The US team is doing well, but they are not going to blow the International team away on this track and this track gives the international side the best chance to win..as they have in the past here. Great choice for this week. Thoroughly enjoying the creative shots and Tiger is a linksmeister
