That is a SICK bag! I mean in a good way.... I am soooooo jealous! If you ever want to get rid of ANY of those putters, please keep me in mind!
Ah! Mahalo for the bump. Bag is actually a little outdated and in some need of serious updating. Just about the only thing that has stayed the same are the hybrids and ball (though I'm rocking the yellow Z-STARs now). Putter change is the biggest thing for me as the Anser 4 has been a mainstay for the longest time, but the MACHINE is all that with a bag of chips with enough change leftover to get some desert. Irons too, were a change for the better--more forgiving than my wif...bad example. :secret::lol:

Keep an eye out for a putter sale in the near future. Turns out that I don't need all the showpieces any more. And my daughter is getting old enough to understand the hypocrisy whenever I tell her "well, sweetie...you can't always get what you want." :pardon:

J.P. bumped me back from a year's obscurity. You only bumped me back from an episode of The Daily Show. The Anser 4 will always have a home though, and not just because it's engraved. It's seen me through some pretty crappy rounds. :D

hey i just received my ft9 tour mix with fubuki 63 s from callaway... never had the chance to try this combo and no time to take it to the range before i hit up the field tomorrow morning... how do you think itll work for someone around 105 swing speed?
Without knowing anything whatsoever about your swing (outside the ballparked swingspeed), skill level, and playing conditions, I can say with a modicum of certainty that I think you'll be just fine. Outside that...I dunno. :pardon:

Anyway--hope it went well. :hi:

Wow! That collection makes me jealous! Like those wedges, and they're aren't many fairways better than that TiSi Tec IMHO.
Appreciate the comments. :hi: The wedges are great--love everything about them...except their availability. Haven't heard anything from Carlton in a long old time, so I've retired them to preserve the grind. I seriously need to get them replicated EXACT-like. I've seen a number of close-but-no-cigars, and have been looking hard at the James Patrick grinds, but for now, the CG15's are holding their own, and holding their own nicely! :good:

Great putter--for real. Had PING continued to develop the Redwood line, I'm sure they would have seen much success. The D66 and especially the ZB showed some serious steps in the right direction. Personally, I'd definitely order from the Wrx shop so you can get either the Starshot or Guyson finish, unless you like the Black Satin (which is nice enough too). I would definitely avoid the Black Nickel plague-style. But yeah--very high on my recommendation list.

How do you find the fubiki?
I find it by looking for the white shaft. I make finding it easier by making sure I don't set it down in the snow. Thanks for including me in your post run. To know that I was one in fifty makes me feel special, indeed. ;)

OK - So I am guilty of not reading the entire thread

A) LOVE the flat sticks - I just used photoshop to reverse them and dreamed the were right handed

B) Did you lose a bet with that headcover?

No guilt--highlights are all on the first page. First post, really. So it's not like you're missing any key plot points. (spoiler alert: bruce willis was a ghost the whole time!)

But please, no hate on the pink bunny! Pink bunny was a gift from pitbull808 and is awesome. I've gotten many a compliment on the course and more queries on where to pick one up in person and in PM than I can count. Plus, it's hard to take yourself too terribly serious or get upset when you've got a pink bunny staring you down after an errant shot. ;)

Thanks, Tai. Unfortunately, I'm a poser and only have it around for looks and giggles. I need to get around to selling all the dust collectors as they don't bring the joy they used to. Maybe consolidate the lower/mid level jobbies that have no chance into something more chanceable. We'll see.

Danke for the bump. :good:

Really need to get around to updating this sometime. :fool:

Good lookin sticks man, my wife already has me by the short ones regarding starting any kind of collection, so consider yourself at least lucky to have had one before it grew stale.

Have you considered hitting up scratch to see if DW can replicate the wedges?
lol--collecting is WILDLY overrated. Of course, I just finished Zen for Dummies, so I'm feeling particularly unattached right now. I'm sure that feeling will go away the minute I try to figure out what I want to sell. :D

As for the wedges, I've seen some Scratch wedges from a while ago, where they tried to duplicate the topline grind--really, really, really not the same. Sure it's a cosmetic thing, but the devil's in the details. Joe K. could probably accomplish something more than passable. It's just something I need to get around to doing. Kinda like cleaning the garage--you feel better afterwards, but Joe's just so...dirty.

Ah I hear ya there, when you want something, you want something. Yeah, that whole attachment thing will come back once you start perusing what to sell, sure there will be no brainers, but there will be a few that'll be tough to let go of. Good luck to you on your wedge hunt though, I fully expect to see some custom tent pitching worthy wedges in a year or so...you know...with the whiffs approval. :derisive:

Thats quite the set up there. I played baseball left handed and the reason I play golf right handed is because thats all the golf course had available to rent the first time I played... so I just went with it. Probably benefited me though because I didn't have much of a baseball swing to fight through at first ... lol. I do ok though. Thanks for all of the cool pics. Hope the snow melts soon. :coolpics:

Just wanted to let you know that seeing the thread on your custom Anser 4 caused me to register for this site. I didn't remember that it was lefty, which makes it even better. Would love to see an updated version of your bag.
Oh wow. That's kind of big time. I thought I was more a catalyst for driving people away than for joining. Go figure. :pardon: I should be updating my bag here in the next month or so: it's wildly outdated, but as I was less than enthusiastic in keeping up with the yard work last Fall, I've got no place to take pics until Spring.
That is one impressive stable of putters. i always wanted one of those ping fairway woods.
A-thank you. Surprisingly, I think there's only been one addition since my last update: a custom MACHINE. I hadn't bought another putter since...until I got a hella deal just recently. Oh, and I started another order on another MACHINE. But for me...that's some serious progress. :D

i want a MACHINE putter! Must have pics right away.:man_in_love:
Good call. I'm actually way overdue to write a review on it (and by that, i mean braggy show-and-tell). It's just...it's the first time I've been so happy with a putter, I don't feel the need to overcompensate with lots of pictures and words. That or I'm getting even lazier as I get older. Probably a bit of both. :pardon: I'll get on that shortly then.

Thanks for the push! :hi:
