I have a 8ft long generic putting mat I have to rig to 2 sleeves or boxes to make the hole smaller, and I line up two line up two alignment sticks to keep a straight line. these mats looks awesome.

I have a Birdieball mat, but it got wet with water of indeterminate origin during a basement flood earlier this year, and I’m probably going to get rid of it. I definitely want to have a mat, because I just had a new custom Byron Morgan putter built, and I think it will be here next week, so I’m going to be looking to putt a lot indoors until spring.

How do you practice during the winter?

I putt on my mat whenever I get bored, usually for 10-15 minutes at a time. I usually split time between a ladder drill where I space balls about a foot apart from 3 feet to the end of the mat, and putting exclusively 3-5 footers. I’ll also go to a heated driving range or golf dome about once a week to try to keep my swing in shape.
