Anyone tried Corey Paul wedges? They look cool. Curious about feel, spin, and wear. Thanks!

I too had a weak moment and bought the lazrus set. They seem fine and feel like "normal" wedges. I got their rainbow finish which looks kinda goofy but cool I guess. I have not hit them yet but the milling seems...aggressive, to say the least. Did you ever hear back from the company about whether they are conforming?

I picked up Lazrus wedges. At 3 for $99 I figured it was definitely worth a shot to get some wedges in my bag after not playing.

I got the brushes finish so they don't look funny or anything.

So far I've had good luck with them.

If I was worried about tournaments, I'd probably look into something else but for the hack I am, these will get me by until I really decide I need something better.

I'm using the Top Flite Tour wedges, in 50, 54 and 58 degrees. I'm only a 20 or so handicap, and don't get to play very often, so these work just fine for me. Love the milled faces!

The issue (and this responds to most of the posts here) is that you pay for variety, not quality.  There is no difference in quality between a Vokey and a $29.99 harmonized wedge.  They are both cast, they are both legal, and they have almost identical head-weights.  They differ in two places.

1. Consistency of shaft weight.  The cheaper wedges have much broader tolerances in their stock shafts.  This can produce wedges, once in a while, that are of an almost unplayable swingweight.  Dynamic Gold, for example, is +/- 6 grams I think and much tighter in the tour issue.  The stock shafts in cheap wedges can range from 90 to 130 without telling you.

2. Options for grind and bounce.  If you are a driver you won't care about this since most 'cheap' wedges are mid-bounce, mid-grind.  Basically either S or M grinds with mid-bounce: if your swing isn't steep or shallow you'll be fine.  But if you have a swing that is excessively steep or excessively shallow or at all unusual, those wedge will be much worse for you than, for example, a Vokey L grind with 4 degrees of bounce and a dagger leading edge - a picker will love that Vokey and enjoy it much more than the Harmonized.

So for players with normal swings who don't get unlucky with bad tolerances those wedges are awesome.  For players with abnormal swings who want more choice or those who get unlucky with bad tolerances those wedges can be significantly sub-optimal.

My "cottage set" that I'll be keeping at my Dad's place back home consists of 2 Alien Golf Tutch Chamber wedges (56 and 60)

Both low-ish bounce wedges that have a tight leading edge that perform decently well and still aren't too dinged up as of yet.

I have three of these that I've used for chipping/pitching at the lake, in case my cousin's kids decide to mess with them or they go off the dock.

52-12, 56-14, 60-07

I haven't found much difference when I compare them to my MD3 wedges, in terms of results.

As PSG noted above, what you're mostly paying for are grind/bounce/loft/shaft fitting options with the big brands.

A wedge is only as good as the person using it.  Me personally I don't care less who makes it as long as its grooves are sharp, non-glare with good feel.  I wouldn't mind trying out those Costco wedges.

I've tinkered around with the Wilson Staff FG Tour wedges and they are as good as anything else out there. I've always wanted to mess around with one of the Wilson Harmonized wedges just to see how it performs. At less than $30, they are certainly attractive.

I know a guy who’s a legitimate scratch golfer playing with the Wilson harmonized wedge.  He’s got a set of I25 irons and a 913 driver.  G5 4 wood.  He can play.  They don’t both him that it was less than $30

I'm ordering a 68 degree wedge from Monark Golf. All my clubs are off brand and for my game they work fine. I'm not a good wedge player and have problems opening the clubface and hitting a fade plus my home course is hilly with small, hard elevated greens so I hope this will be a good solution to give me a chance to save par when I am inevitably off the green in some hole.

"Shirtsleeve" swing technique:

1. Setup: Elbows bent forearms pressed together against shaft slightly forward of center with "Hogan" "active/flexed" leg tension left foot turned out slightly and the right leg slightly farther to the right - weight mostly on balls of feet butt of left hands sits on the top of the grip with very light grip.

2. Swing - W/o disturbing weight distribution of legs and feet lower hands while doing a forward press "swing trigger" then the left upper arm takes over on the backswing, it needs to go out in front of the body then back in front of the chest as the hands trace down initially then up to over the right shoulder "Torres". The goal is to not disturb the pressure of the feet during the initial takeaway.

Notes:

1. Only swing thought after swing trigger - extend left arm at shirt sleeve when reaching left hand over right shoulder "Shirtsleeve technique".

2. The upper left arm move "Shirtsleeve technique" can be practiced independently without a club, sitting down for instance

3. The correct feet tension can be felt by doing very short hops on the balls of the feet then holding the same feeling of pressure on the front of the feet and then taking three practice swings with the grip very loose in order to not disturb the same pressure on the feet and on the 3rd swing actively do the "Shirtsleeve" move. From there the swing should be done within a matter of seconds to not lose the feel of the legs resisting, this way this is not a learned technique as much as it is a setup technique.

I currently have Vokey 52F, 56D, 60D. I really want Maltby wedges so what do I get? Noting in the Maltby range seems to be mid/high bounce. I'm not a real shotmaker and usually let loft work for me and play pitches and chips and greenside shots with a square set up. I also really like using all of these for full shots. Do I do TSW or FGT????
