So, I've changed a few things and it looks like I'll have a totally new bag for 2020, minus putter. But I'm even looking at getting fitted for a new one. So far:

Titleist TS2. Even Flow White T1100 6.5.

Titleist T100 3-PW. KBS Tour stiff.

Titleist U510 1 iron. HZDRS Smoke 80g 6.0.

.... and today I should pick up my:

Callaway Jaws MD5 52/10

Callaway PM 19 58/12

Callaway PM 19 64/10

I already don't much like the shaft in the 1 iron, but I'm pretty happy with everything else.

Since starting this thread have made a few more tweaks - hopefully no more until spring and courses open again.

Swapped out the Callaway Steelhead XR 4+ fairway wood for Ping G 3 wood 14.5* ALTA 65 reg flex and a Callaway Steelhead 5 wood 18* TENSEI DK Blue 65 Reg flex - thought the 4+ wood would be easier to hit but wasn't - took a 1/2 inch off butt of both the Ping 3 wood and Callaway 5 wood and they feel much more manageable. And have a line on a demo Callaway Apex hybrid 20* for a great price that I might pick up to help fill the gaps...but not urgent - I do like the Cobra f8 hybrid just wish it was 20* instead of 19*. Anyway...no rush to change.

Also found a used 2010 Odyssey White Ice Rossie in great shape that I"m getting regripped - always liked the style and feel of this putter and excited to try it out for real on the greens.

Broke down and picked up some PXG 0311 irons... not sure i'll keep em', they seem very long. Hitting 7 irons 185 (loft is really a 6 lol). They are pretty accurate though. I just don't know how long it will take to get used to getting confidence to grab a 7 iron for 180-185 shots lol. There's snow here so this is all on trackman so I am not sure if this is accurate.

Shiny! What shafts are in those? Agreed...hard to wrap head around 185 yard 7 irons, at least in my realm of reality.

Just finished a wedge fitting to "cure" my awful wedge game. I got 50, 54 bent 55, 60 in sm7s, brushed steel. Also got fit to put my iron shafts in my wedges (PX 6.5 +1 inch). This will be the biggest difference and I am hoping the length increase to match my irons will help with more consistent contact. Will update with pics when they finally get here.

Changing the driver to a TC Epic Flash Triple Diamond. 3wd, might stick with the TS2 and swap the shaft. Reshafting my irons back to PX 6.0 and that is about it. Looking to actually take lessons and practice more this year than play rounds. Time to invest a little time in myself and skills.

The only different clubs in my bag vs what I used in 2019 is the replacing of the 5 iron with a 5 hybrid and the Glide 58ES with a Glide 2.0 58ES.

I'm retiring an old Nike covert 2.0 tour 3-wood for a new sub 70 Pro Fairway...tried out their demo program to hit the club and was pleasantly surprised by the feel/performance, the club looks better in person than on the website. $150 for a new 3-wood also doesn't hurt.

Decided to order one of sub 70's wedges when I bought the 3-wood to try out as well...hopefully should be my last club purchase of 2020 but unfortunately that leaves about 358 days to be inundated with advertisements on new clubs and tech...gotta be strong.

I really liked my 716 T-MB 17* 2 iron but wanted to upgrade when I bought my 620CB/MB irons. My options were 17* U500, looked at U510 but it didn't have my prefered loft plus it is slightly longer heal to toe, however, it's more forgiving than U500.

Anyway, I ended up comparing U500 17* to finding a new 718 T-MB 17*. From my experience and reviews Titleist 718 T-MB is more forgiving than 716 version or U500, plus a bit more offset. Even though I like the look and feel of U500, I took a liking to the bronze sole muscle look of the 718 T-MB, so bought it. Because it's no longer produced I was able to find it for $199, vs retail $280. Even though I like my HZRDUS Red shafts in driver and 3wd, I don't like HZRDUS hybrid stock shaft but that's me.

My last thought if you struggle with P790 4 iron (stock loft 21*, 3.6mm offset) the U510 might be the better choice than U500. Depending on loft U510 has 3.9mm - 3.3mm offset, as opposed to U500 has 2.2mm. Forgiving clubs are not a priority for me, but it doesn't hurt when my swing is stinky. Since I've had T-MB 718 haven't missed a fairway, yet. Have a good day.

A lot of testing to see if anything makes it in the bag.

possibly irons, wedges and putter.

irons I’m considering, Callaway apex MB, Titleist T100, Ping Blueprint

Driver = Callaway Smoke-Ai Max-D

3 wood = Callaway Smoke-Ai Max HL

3 Hybrid = Taylormade Stealth Pro
Irons = 4-PW Miura KM 700

Sand Wedge = Taylormade MG2 56*

Putter = LAB DF3

Ball = TP5x pix

Wow...I have wondered often if anyone is actually trying/using that S7K putter (having seen the commercial so many times) - how is it? I kept thinking that at least here on the prairies if the greens weren't super smooth or it was windy (which it is here a lot) the putter would never stay standing up.

816 H2 to replace the 4i I broke last year. Rarely used the 4i, so I'm not going to bother reshaftingI'm going to pick up one of the Mizuno M-craft putters (plumber's neck blade)75% sure I'll go through a driver fitting this year; time to replace the 2016 M1. I've only played TM for the last 10 years, but I'm going into a fitting brand agnostic.

I know. I'm crazy to have bought it, but I actually liked the shape as much as the stand up portion. I bought it this Winter, so have only used it indoors. It works fine on the carpet. I don't think it will have any problems on the course either. It's very stable. But, you can't change the grip on it, because that would affect the balance. I'll do a review once I get it on the course closer to Spring.
