Golf Gloves... Can anything beat MG?

The season has come to an end here in the North East and so has my stock of golf gloves. I have used MG gloves for the past few years and before I place another order, I was wondering if anything can beat them. Nice thin leather that is extremely durable for $6. Has any other MG glove users found anything better at the same price range?

Dynagrip vs. Gynagrip Elite? Can anyone comment on differences?

Not sure you'll find a better glove for under $25. I started using MG last year and wow, they are fantastic! I only tried the Elite though. Looked like the difference was mostly stitching and cosmetic. I think the Elites are all white, too, which I liked.

I feel that the dynagrip is a bit thicker. I usually buy 3 of the elite for playing and one of the dynagrip for practice days. I used the dynagrip the past 3-4 times out b/c it was a bit chillier and the glove was a little thicker (truthfully not thick enough to make a difference with temperature, just a mind game) and really didnt see a huge difference (not as much as a FJ Stay Soft and a FJ Weather Soft).

Been pretty happy with the Kirkland four pack. Four gloves (and a ball marker) for 19.99.

They remind me of the titleist players gloves.

that is so weird to hear that something can get thinner than the standard Dynagrip. I may have to grab an Elite and see how it holds up.

Agree with the Kirkland. I was an MG glove user and have switched to the Kirkland. If you can find them in store it's $14.99 for a 3 pack. Online $19.99 for a 4 pack. Can't be beat in my opinion

How do the MG gloves fit compared to the titleist gloves? do they run about the same

Like I said, its kinda comparing weather softs to sta softs.

I would say that the MG's fit pretty similar to the Titleist Players (at least in my opinion) I think that was the last glove that i wore before discovering the MG's

I use the Kirkland leather gloves as well. My local Costco keeps them in stock, so every so often I'll buy 1 or 2 more packs just to stock up. I have enough at home to get me through a few seasons, but for the price, I figure stock up on as many as possible. They're just as good as the major OEMs in terms of quality.

I think they just come in regular sizes? I honestly don't pay much attention. I just look for my normal size and grab a couple of them.

Only normal sizes per their website. I've seen no durability issues with the three pairs I've gone through already. They seem to wear and fit just like all the others.

Love MG. They are thin, comfy, but don't last too long depending on how much you play. Like others, I buy multiples at a time.

Never wore the Kirkland, but I find the MG gloves to feel significantly better than the FJ Weathersoft I used in the past. I much prefer the leather, especially on the inside of the glove. Much better resistance to sweat IMO than the FJs. I will say I prefer the Elite and the Techgrip as well; both incredibly soft and noticeably thinner than the Dynagrip. I use Dynagrip to warm up typically and usually switch between all 3 throughout the round lol.

I have enjoyed the MG elites for years. They are the same as the $20 footjoys. I buy 10 at a time...sizing is similar to footjoy but there is occasionally one that the size is off. MG is quick to take care of any issues but I check them/try them on when they come in just in case (I buy 10 at a time).

I wear MG gloves as well, some have mentioned about durability but for me they last longer than FJ and other gloves

I’ve been playing the MG gloves for years now. Have had around 4-5 buddies switch to them over the past 2-3 years. Absolute bargain at their price. Used to play FJ or Titleist gloves. I usually purchase around 5-6 at a time. Bought my dad 4 pairs for Christmas this year, after he liked using one of mine. So add another on that switch list! My Wife’s uncle like their ball, but I haven’t dug that feel yet. Lol. I honestly don’t see myself ever going to their ball. Lol

The old Costco Callaway gloves have been my favorites. They lasted a long time, they were sized consistently and they were sold in 3 or 4 packs (online vs in store) for $16 or $20. Loved them. I bought (5) 3 packs last year when they started bringing in Kirklands and haven’t gotten to half of them.

 

I have not tried the Kirklands yet. My store doesn’t even stock XL so i assume you have to order online. Only S,M and L in Costco’s around here.

Agreed. Best gloves I have ever tried and I keep an eye on eBay for NOS. KSig gloves not having any lycra across the knuckle area make it a disappointing replacement. Unfortunately I doubt we will see these return with Costco seemingly upping their investment in the Kirkland brand golf offerings.

How is the velcro on the MG elites now?  I used to buy them all the time, but a couple years ago there were issues with the velcro not holding.  Would love to go back to them if that issue's been resolved.

I just started using MG gloves so I can't comment personally, but I have read posts stating the velcro issues are gone.

I’ve been using them for about a year and a half and never had a Velcro issues. Switched from Titleist and they last at least twice as long for half the price.

Well any glove that lasts more than a dozen holes without tearing beats the MG Elites that I bought a few years back. They started stretching from literally the moment I put them on and once a leather glove stretches and gets baggy it is going to tear sooner rather than later. And among the three gloves I bought together, no two of them fit exactly the same.

 

In my experience they were *exactly* what one might expect from a really cheap glove made of thin, real leather. Yes the better gloves out there cost a ton more but MG Elite gloves I received were below the level of acceptable quality no matter how low the price. Even if they were three gloves for five bucks I'd still rather pay real money for a glove that fits consistently and lasts several rounds.

I have been using the regular Dynagrips for a few years and have never had an issue with Velcro or anything.  This year I have been using the Elites.  The are amazing.  No issues at all.

Glad this thread ended up here somehow as I had never heard of these gloves.  Have been using Titleist Players gloves but just bought one standard Dynagrip and one Elite to try out.  Haven't received them yet but am already impressed with the customer service as I got an "order shipped" notice within a couple hours of placing my order.  Meanwhile I am still waiting on some ball markers I ordered two weeks ago to ship. Thanks again, will post my feedback once I get a chance to try them out.

Kirkland without a doubt. I’m pretty easy on gloves but they last for ever.
