TaylorMade will ask for a listing to be pulled if it contravenes their copyright (trust me ;) ) however it was suggested to me they don't really care that much about fakes on ebay...

 

Ebay sellers don't support "their" distributors nor are ebay sellers seen as promoting their goods or brand (I was told this by TM :help: ), the more fakes on ebay, the more they can promote their contracted suppliers and the more you will hear the "don't use ebay" from the on course pro's.

That makes sense, I reported a guy selling fake TM drivers on ebay AU to TM and a guy from their local distributor sent me a nice email suggesting I should buy from an authorized retailer. :tongue:

 

Considering how much they spend on marketing I'm surprised they care so little about the damage done to their brand by scammers selling fakes. One of their biggest competitors (Callaway) certainly does.

I saw some auctions on ebay Australia for TM Monza Corza putters and the seller (who's a good guy) has obviously been told by TM not to use stock pictures of their products or photos of their trademark.

 

Nice to see that TM is going after someone who's not selling fakes while the scammers keep listing fakes from China and they do nothing.

I actually spoke with the guy from TM, no interest in discussing fakes, just focussed on keeping their contracted stockists happy... Talk about hate ebay with a passion !!!!!
