What is the best way to increased club head speed for a mid 60's golfer?

Recommended Posts

Any senior golf has had proven results? What should my expectations be realistically ?

I'm mid 60's and have a SS of 90 mph. My driver distance is 230 - 240 with a standard titleist 917 driver. I hit the driver on the button most of the time. Every year loosing distance......

What really works?

an interesting video

A more efficient golf swing.

i get guys almost every day that are low to mid single digits and have been good golfers for 40-50 years with a swing that is not linked up very well. They just know how to play.

A few weeks ago had one guy about 65 gain 10 mph in 20 minutes. That’s rare obviously, but 3-5 is very common.

First things first is how you take care of your body. Weight training mixed with yoga should be the foundation to adding and even more importantly maintaining speed. The more flexible and in shape you are the more speed your body can handle for years to come.

Thanks for the replies.

I can increase the ball speed with a new driver. Tried the Epic flash and Ping G410 with tensei pro shafts and gained 10 yards. It didn't really mater if I hit the center of the face, toe or heal, they all went straight and about the same distance. I want to to increase my swing speed too. Yes Im greedy.

So with that said excerise, stretching, palates or what can I do increase my swing speed? Any senior had any good results? If so, what was the answer?

Thanks,

Check out Titleist's TPI website called MyTPI.com and go to "find an expert." If there is a TPI certified trainer in your area I would highly suggest seeing them as they can do an evaluation and answer your questions far better than anyone can on this forum. This is the BEST way to gain and maintain speed for the rest of your playing days.
