The field for the Drive On championships which is American and European heavy looks like a field from the mid 90s based on nationalities. Over 2/3 of the field North Americans and Europeans and only 9 Koreans in the field. I wonder when the last time so few Koreans were in a full field event?

It's the kind of field, post Annika, pre-Seri, Yani and Lorena.

Have not been as diligent checking this forum as before but finally, things are picking up on the women's side! :) (eg i check once every 2-3 days, i used to check twice a day! LOL)

Nothing is ever easy for LPGA; probably no TV coverage the two Ohio events.

I strongly suspect that it is more to do with the fact that she can isolate herself and acclimate herself to Scotland and prep for the WBO (it is hosted by Royal Troon in Scotland this year). I have no idea how she will do, but given this focus from Brooke, I think it is good to see. In addition, if the wind comes up to any degree, she is a pretty good player in windy conditions. However, there is a difference between true links golf and a windy golf course in Florida or Hawaii.

She doesn't use a 2 iron, Scotland isn't her kind of wind lol. This seems to be a lost season, I don't really have any issue with how players schedule events this year. I'm not too sure the Rolex Top 10 is really focused for the shortened version of the season, so it could be a great chance for some others to grab some glory and status with these circumstances.

LOL. they cover them alright... (though have to fact check since a lot of their info is outdated, truth be told - esp Philippine star). At the same time, there's really a newspaper with a dedicated "golf" section a la golfweek (USA Today) - Philippine Daily Inquirer is the go to print media that you can get accurate info from on Filipino golfers...

unfortunately, only a few Filipino golfers are competitive right now in the world arena, in my view, and even then ,they still have to show results to prove it ....At least things are on the uptrend since the Jennifer Rosales etc era (eg Bianca, Yuka, maybe Dottie, Guce are the ones that are keeping things interesting for RP women's golf)
